Anyone know about what poly bushings fit the dobinsons leaf springs are they oem size? The dobinsons brand is expensive for the poly bushings. Thanks

Aren't they greasable? That would explain the cost difference

Thanks to all the advice throughout these threads, and of course from Eric himself. Install only took about five hours, and that included trimming my second leaf on my Dakar leaf Packs & swapping Out new OEM shackles that I tapped with grease fittings, as well as removing and replacing my high clearance bumper to make the job a lot easier.

Just as anticipated, gained 0.5” of lift with stock shackles & Standard duty dakar pack
Cutting the rivet head off with a cut off wheel, then grinding the area smooth, center punch, drill through and repeat worked really great. No drama, just lots of hot metal shavings. No swearing either, it went smooth. One thing I like to do now, is add PB BLaster to whatever I’m drilling to aid in penetration & as a lubricant....

Anyway, immediately noticeable increase in ride quality around town. Will report back after some HARD trail miles. So glad I got this done, finally. Been sitting on these hangers for months.

    Eric-

I have been looking for awhile and am thinking I am nearing the time to redo my rear end. I currently am sitting on OME 95R leafs with 2.5 kings with resi and adj with a ~8 inch stroke. I recently pulled the trigger on a new rear tube bumper from Warfab and noticed my rear is already sagging as I keep most of my gear in the bed (I have a topper) and gets even worse on trip out to moab or into the mountains. I have yet to put the bumper on so have a feeling its going to get worse.

I am playing around with the idea of a SUA and retaining my kings in the rear but was curious on what your thoughts are. I really have been wanting to do a 12 inch smoothie or go big and do a 14 inch bypass with a relocation tower and hammer hangers. Regardless I need new leaf springs (OME squeak like a mofo and I am just really not happy with them- AAL is a option but not sure if I want to go that route). I have a u bolt flip but really need to upgrade my bumps, they were cheapos I picked up off the forums and the u bolt kit doesnt have a screw to put on a bump to the top plate so had to drill it into the bump top perch attached to the frame. I am curious what you would do if you were in my shoes. Regardless, I expect to be throwing my first born your way sometime soon haha. Thanks in advance.

Silly but valid question - for those having shops install these, are you comfortable having a non-offroad shop do it? (Something they've never done before?)

SUA is a viable option, the Deaver HD U539/540 springs require around 500lbs on a DC to be correct rate. SUA has its compromises including cost, install, more sway and loss of ground clearance. Contrary to the internet SUA conversion on a Tacoma doesn't reduce axle wrap.
However, I actually prefer staying spring over, getting a good leaf pack (I'm working on 100% Archive design pack, should be installed on my truck in April) Deaver U402 and Dobinsons are only others I like.
A good SOA setup for moderate speed or bump absorbing is about conserving bump travel, and getting some lift to increase bump travel.
Then I would go with 2.5x12 smooth body with compression adjuster in Archive Towers.

New Archive bumpstops coming soon for Ubolt flip, just testing which durometer to select.

Exactly what I wanted to hear. With that said I’ll most likely just upgrade my leafs to the deaver U402 and pick up some hammer hangers and work towards a 12 inch down the road and stay SOA. Any idea on when your leaf pack/ bumps would be ready to hit the website for purchase. That for sure has my interest. I really need to redo my rear sooner than later, my front is to where I like it but the rear just has a hard time keeping up.

Doing it in stages is fine, you might even be happy just doing Hh and new springs.
I would say it would be July 1st by time new springs would be ready to ship.
