I would love to see more of this. As these areas seem to need some more enforcement.

It's less of a stretch because what they're doing is actually helping the OHV community. In years past, Cal4 has coordinated training for officers to safely negotiate off-road trails.

Curious on those plates. Haven’t done much reading into them but don’t they pretty much only give you 4 alignment options? Why this over total chaos cam tab gussets?

since you live in san hoe im going to say you might have no idea. These areas used to be fun an accessible to all. Slowly they are getting more strict and closed off to public. Ive seen a few areas littered with truck loads of trash mostly from pot heads and tweakers making honey oil, young punks that just don't give a fuck to scum of the earth cooking drugs and growing dope. Bags full of thousands of butane cans left behind in pristine areas that used to be family friendly day trips. To Facebook wheeler weekend warriors inviting hundreds of street suvs on deep snow trips with no idea or even prepared for what they are doing. Among many other things I could go on for days, So yes its that bad. The younger generation and assholes have no respect for the laws, rules, or preservation of our land. The rules don't apply to them. We all need to do are part to educate the next generation. We all need to be more involved. And yes we need more forest service workers saving, and enforcing the law.
But you just keep telling yourself is not that bad, and in 20yrs from now ask yourself that same question.

Yeah, it is. lol One day we'll wheel together. I got a felling Sonora pass will open really early this year. We should hit Niagra RIm when that happens. It's at a lower elevation then the pass and should melt out pretty quick. Barring another Miracle March.

They give you 3 alignment options. Neutral, inboard and outboard. I'd bet 95% of guys with lifted rigs are running full outboard on the rear cams and full inboard on the front. I know I am and all my buddies are. Then you dial in the alignment with your SPC's. These can be run with TC gussets. The reason I went this route is it gets rid of the weak eccentric bolts and replaces them with 3/4 grade 8 bolts. Once I get them installed and the alignment dialed in I'll weld 1/4" stiffeners to the LCA mount and cam tabs. Total cost will be about 90 bucks for a much stronger system that won't fail. If you don't have SPC's I wouldn't get these until someone guinea pigs it to see what the readings are with non-adjustable UCA's.

Law enforcement certainly cleaned up the rubicon. It’s not as wild as it used to be but certainly safer and less drunk breakdowns in the middle of the trail.

if it’ll keep the roads open I’m all for it!

Problem is the eagle meadows road goes way back into the high country. In my experience they open that road much later than the pass.

Of course if there isn’t any snow then let’s hope :fingerscrossed:

I'm betting that it'll open early this year. The FS tends to be pretty good about opening roads as soon as they are passable. I'm also one of those people that calls them and encourages them to open them. In the Inyo I usually know conditions before the rangers. I'm fortunate that Inyo has very few gates and doesn't "close" for the season on most roads. They let you play and expect you to be able to handle it. I think that's cool as hell so I give them trail condition reports all the time.

Ya I've been waiting for someone to do that.
I'd like to get a set, but my TC uppers have no adjustability and I'd rather not put excessive uneven wear on my tires.

y'all should put White Mountain an the Ancient Bristlecone Forrest on the list. Cool spot and some good dispersed camping in the area. Probably too much snow up there this time of year but I caught the first dusting last fall with jus tthe right conditions to drive on up there no problem.
