A few years ago a dickhead managed to wheelie into a group of pedestrians on the sidewalk during Daytona Bike Week. Stunting in a parking lot = fine. Stunting on public roads in traffic = asshattery. I don't give a damn how good they think they are.
I spent too many bike events scraping squids off of pavement, cars, and power poles.

those big bike event gatherings always have incidents like that though, not sure that could be avoided if it wasnt someone trying to show off a wheelie it would be some guy trying to roll out burning their tire and wash out in epic fashion, which is funny because those events typically have designated stunt areas for this stuff... but like you said it is typically the squid who bit off more than they could chew.

I always enjoy those car show videos where every 5 minutes an exiting guests in some mustang spins out into the curb or oncoming traffic or another car or the group os onlookers

What year sv650? I loved the 2 that I had. Made a profit on both of them when it came time to sell them. Sold the first one to get a Cbr600rr and then sold that because I was going to kill myself on it or be in jail. Sold the second one because I was living in Colorado and rode dirt more. I am always on the lookout for a good deal on a sv650 because they are a great all around bike.

I agree they have awesome wheelie skills and balance but doesn't belong on public highways. I've seen those huge group rides they're typically a bunch of squids bouncing off the rev limiters and clogging up traffic.

If you want to see some legit pro riders pushing the limits you need to check out IOM TT, these guys are insane!

lol my friend come on contrary to some beliefs I do not live under a rock, of course I follow isle of man !!!!

I agree it is dangerous on public highways, but I think it is a direct result of not having a place to ride IMHO

I would love to buy some land and open a "stunt farm" would also have a mini track for both pit bike mx and mini motard racing.

the danger factor racing IOM though is light years ahead of doing a wheelie below 60mph, all the safety gear and closed roads or not I believe speed is the greatest factor

Any good back road suggestions around Ft Worth? My buddy and i took the Cahoba rd from Marion Sansom Park in Lake Worth over to 199 and cut through to the Eagle Mountain Dam rd over to Augies. Then hit Boat Club all the way out to Haslet and came back on 287. Pretty cool little ride but looking for more out of the city rides.

Anyone have pics of apes on a Sporty 1200? Trying to decide what looks best but im still new to the bike scene. I just know i dont like the factory bars and riser. Not very comfy on longer rides. Heres what i just got. '06 Sportster XL1200 Custom with 8200 miles.

I’m gonna try and go for a scoot after work today again. Didn’t make it yesterday cuz I needed to workout and didn’t have time to do both :(
Soon as my new jacket gets in (assuming it fits) I’ll probably start riding to work

It’s too chilly for me in the morning at 58 to ride haha. My mesh jacket just lets all the air in. Even with a sweatshirt under it’s cold. I really hope the jacket that comes on Friday will fit

It's a 2000 naked. I was looking for 2003+ for FI but I kind of like carbed bikes better anyways. Hahah yeah I was debating just jumping into a 600 CBR or R6 but I think the SV will be more than enough power for a couple of years while I gain some experience. I have only heard great things about the SV's

Cycle gear generally has a pretty decent selection to try on and see. Find something you like that fits well then order from revzilla. My understanding is both revzilla and cycle gear are owned by the same company. Too bad you can’t return to a cycle gear.
