    im new....and i just got a 98 tacoma for $$$1500.... i replaced the batt, fixed a power steering line and an alternator and shes ready to rock!! :D

    Welcome man, that is an awesome deal! I have a 97 that I would not take $8,000 for. Put new shocks all the way around and check your tie rod's and ball joints. Other than that you should be good.
