I’ve put 800lbs of firewood in my bed and I’ve been fine. My ass squatted pretty good though.

Totally doable, payload ratings are just suggestions.

    Y'all are wimps.

    1,800 lb of quikrete.

[IMG]1800 lb. of concrete by Michael Rickerd, on Flickr

Edit: I suppose I should clarify: I would never put this much weight in the truck and then go on a 400 mile roadtrip through mountain passes, or attempt to take the truck offroad, or leave that much weight in the truck for days. But for a 5 mile drive at 35 mph followed by a quick unloading of the truck? No sweat.

Open your driver door and look for a sticker like this one. This is what Toyota says is the payload rating for your truck. Subtract from that number the weight of passengers and any modifications you've done.

4 scoops of crushed granite from a bobcat bucket. Would not recommend it on a daily basis or many miles, I only had to go like 4-5 miles. It’s a truck, it will be fine.

This makes no sense. If you can get your truck there it isnt much of a step to get the trailer there.

I was thinking the same thing except that I know how to back up a trailer. Maybe OP does not. If there is no room to turn around, he'd have to back in to where he wants the rocks dumped and if you don't know how to back up a trailer then it's a no go. Even guys who regularly trailer a boat or camper sometimes just aren't very good at it. I've seen plenty of people trying to back down a boat ramp holding up the line for a good 15 minutes because they keep jackknifing it.
