Just got a 2015 Tacoma Access Cab with tilt wheel. Wondering if the tilt level can be adjusted beyond what is pre-set by the factory? Does anyone have any thoughts/ history on this?

Bumping this up, and surprised this hasn't come up before. My legs nearly hit the bottom of the steering wheel even at full up. The Taco is the least-adjustable steering column of any vehicle I've owned. Has anyone tried to expand the range of adjustment?

Yeah I know about the telescope but still doesn't get the wheel where I want it. Again, the tilt range is ridiculously small.

    Answer:
Yes you can if you want to modify the column.

    PROBLEM:

any adjustments modded or done past factory standards will cause binding in the shaft and premature wear internally. Which can cause loss of control and injury or death.

lower the front of the seat, have an upholstery shop reform the foam to give you more room....just don’t mod the steering column.

Hell, maybe I'll just wait until the column pulls off in my hands and modify it then...
