I guess they figured it was in the desert and right off a main freeway so people would want to visit, I dunno the story behind it though or why it went under.

The aircraft boneyard is awesome, I've toured it a couple times. When I was in school I wanted to do my grad show photoshoot out there but they wanted thousands of dollars for a photo permit, even if you were a student.

We did it out in Salton Sea instead, since that place is a literal ghost town

Im not crazy about the super tall ones but I love the low to the ground high speed ones that flip you around a lot.

You got to tour the boneyard!? I’m so jealous. I didn’t realize it was open to the public.

I donated to a campaign a few years ago that bought a retired 747 from Mojave, cut it up, and turned it into an art piece for burning man. Was really cool to watch them take that plane apart and turn it into art.

My brother is like that, won't go on them. Blames me for tricking him into riding a crazy one when we were kids. He's not wrong, most of his issues can be traced back to me

They have a public tour where they'll show you around a small part of it, you don't get to get up close and personal to the planes but they drove us around in a golf cart and shared some history on it. I dunno maybe the guy was just bored, lol. This was probably 14 years ago so I don't know if they still do it

I’m guessing it’s very difficult post-9/11 just because of the nature of a boneyard with jumbo jets, and fighter jets in it.

It took me awhile to get used to them, and the first one I ride at any theme park I go to still freaks me out to a degree.

If the people who run those places were smart they wouldve scrapped all those planes a few years ago when scrap prices were high.

911 was 19 years ago lol. This was after 9/11 and security at the boneyard was definitely strict, probably moreso than before 9/11 yeah.

Before 9/11 my grandfather took me on a tour of Whiteman Airforce base in Missouri by sneaking me in the back of his carpet delivery truck. He just told the guy at the gate that he had a delivery to make (he regularly made them). I was 8 years old and got to see all kinds of cool shit, was really into planes and jets back then so it was awesome. They fly the B2 bomber out of Whiteman AFB, didn't see it that day of course but I have seen it flying training flights over my grandparents house.

Anyway yeah, that was before 9/11 and there's no way in hell you could sneak someone onto an AFB nowadays I imagine lol.

Uhm... ok whats the easiest way to press the upper bj out...

last time on my taco i left it attached to the lbj and kept the cv on the hub and did the bj press thing with it in the wheel well and that was the biggest pain in the dick experience of my life

Im thinking about removing the spindle entirely so i have room to work and use my impact

    And there it goes.

America’s Tire is great, they don’t even charge for the flat repairs.
