    your front will settle about 3/4 of an inch. I'm sitting at 37 even on the front and 39 in the rear.

    Chris, is there a way to flush the Automatic trans fluid on a 1st gen at home? Or should one just drain and refill the pan.

    yes. Disco the return line, and out going lines, at the tranny cooler (radiator if no cooler), Have about 3 gallons of fluid ready to go, along with a large empty container. Place the empoty container under the output line, and put the hose for the return line into a full jug of ATF. Then start the truck and let it run for a few seconds, while monitoring flow, and make sure its pulling in the fluid from the full container. Do this with the tranny in Neutral. Then swap out the container when ones empty, with a full one.
