I know it's been said but that truck in NJ goes for around 32-35k from the dealer so PP price would be a few k less. You'll end up negative if you sell it. May be better off selling off some of your truck parts (scooped hood, grill/raptor lights, side steps, roof bars, etc etc) to help tide you over until you are whole again. Or... if you don't have much as a downpayment on the truck... and don't mind your credit going into the trash... you could just stop paying and turn it in to the Toyota.

Big oof... Cut elsewhere and ride out the storm. Getting rid of the truck is going to cost you $10k at least.

I occasionally work in Compton. The city is not as rough as it used to be. Some investors are purchasing single family homes in the area.

If you ever reach the point in life that you need to sell the hood of your vehicle to make ends meet, you're doing it wrong...

You are slightly upside down. Maybe 4 or 5k.

I'd recommend selling and letting a dealer do the sale paperwork for you when you lease another Tacoma.

A Tacoma lease would drop your payments, and at the end of the lease you could even recoup some losses by selling instead of turning in the lease.

Just my 2cents. A lease on a taco is a great way to eliminate negative equity over a 3 yr timespan.

Ya my dealer actually said the residual is so good you're better off leasing and then buying it out / selling it back. I guess a good chunk of guys do that around here.
