+1. That is an excellent movie.

God placed each of us here with a purpose, and that is to glorify Him and be willing for Him to use us to lead as many others as possible to Him. Christ's death is a free gift, we just have to accept it.

why do people think that evolution being a theory makes it less likely. The fact that it is only a theory gives it more credibility. I prefer things to be theory till they can be 100% proven. having faith in unproven theory is what religion is all about. Faith cuz their is no proof. so while you try to prove your points by bringing up the "theory" card just remember that your views are based on faith and faith is only needed when proof is no where to be found.

After hearing how god has a hand in anything man does, does that include all the hatred greed and unhappiness in the world or do you only give him the credit for good things?

it just gets a little old with people acting like their religious beliefs are based on fact not faith.

Like I have said before...both of these thoughts require faith. In evolution you have to have faith in the scientists that they know what they are doing. In creationism you have to have faith that the bible is in fact the true word of God. Both thoughts require faith in something. Yes evolution is still a theory but I guess you could say the same for creationism. Either one has yet to be 100% proven. I guess it is all up to what you have "faith" in Evolution or Creation.

Yes God did have a hand in everything and I believe that He still does. He has also given us free-will so that we can make our own choices. He gave us the choice to be good or evil.

I believe both sides take it on faith. The fundamental faith of evolutionists is that evolution has indeed happened. They then go about seeing evidence in the light of that belief.

For example, evolution postulates that more complex forms evolved from simpler forms through mutation and natural selection. A good example is prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. The assumption is that because the eukaryotic cell has a nucleus, it was derived through evolution from the simpler prokaryotic cell, which doesn't have a nucleus. There's nothing that suggests that it has to be that way (perhaps the prokaryotic cell is a deevolution of the eukaryotic cell). They're both based on assumptions. Does an evolutionist ever look at evidence and question whether evolution may be false? No, it's assumed to be true and no one ever attempts to falsify it. The fallacy most evolutionists make is that if something cannot be tested, it must be false (e.g. I can't test for God therefore I can only assume a natural cause). It may be true that you cannot test for God, but that doesn't mean God did not create. Plus the statement "evolution has occurred" is itself on the same plane as "God created." What is the test one would use to falsify it? If things appear similar (e.g. apes and humans) does that necessarily mean one comes from the other or that they share a common ancestor? How does one falsify that belief? For that matter, how would one test the statement that "only theories which can be falsified or tested can be considered."? Wouldn't that mean that the statement itself has to be false because it cannot be tested?

On the other side, the fallacy many creationists make (of which I am one) is that disproving one means the other is true (e.g. evolution is false because there are many holes in the theory, therefore creationism is true) or that creationism should be taught as science (it's not). I think there's also a simpleminded dismissal and ridicule of science without understanding.

nice job robr, we must remember too that 'the faith of a mustard seed' does not incinuate blind faith. Science helps to prove creation, it is the friend of creationism. Now lets move on.

    Forget creation. Lets talk evolution.

100 posts ago I asked a question that got completely ignored.

This time I direct this to the 30+ people that voted for evolution. Evolution began with a big mass. God is not in evolution. Just starts with a big mass. This is VERY VERY important...............

Where did the mass come from????

jhodge, I respect your stance on this issue, but this is not a question for you because if I remember correctly you stated a Lil 'O Both. This is for the 30+ pure evolutionists.
Discuss this amongst yourselves because I already know the answer, Good Night.........

If you are implying because the origin of the mass is unknown that your god is responsible I think not. remember you believe in adam and eve and no dinosaurs. lol science doesn't prove there was a god that created this universe and neither does your bible. fact of the matter is its all guess work but evolution is a educated guess and the bible's version is pure fantasy. sweetdreams.
