Just wondering what dimensions would fit for the roof rack on my camper shell? I've been looking and i cant seem to find a solid answer anywhere. some or cross bars or aeroblades ive seen are 60'' or is that too long? i've seen some saying 58'' just not sure. any advice headed in the right direction would be appreciated. also do you guys have any advice on affordable racks to look at that fit on the mounted rails on the shell, kind of alot of questions thanks in advance!

I put 66" crossbars (Yakima) on my shell. That's about as wide as you can go without sticking out past the side of the truck (which may be illegal in your state).

50-72" will all fit. 50" will match the width of your cap. 72" will extend out to about the width of your mirrors. Mine are 64". Yakima & Thule both fit well and are long lasting. $400-550 new depending on configuration. Used ones for roof tracks are widely available on Craig's List, etc for significantly less than new. You can easily cut any crossbar to a length you like.Truck cap (2).jpg

I bought the Thule 50" for mine, I wish I had gotten the slightly larger size, 53".

Edit: I don't have any straight on pics, but I bought the Thule squarebars for mine.

I believe they are the same. I’ve heard they are interchangeable for bases but never tried it.

A.R.E. Typically install Yakima tracks. Thule & Yakima tracks are interchangeable.

No noise whatsoever from the Thule square bars mounted on the truck bed cap. No need for a fairing or aerobars. Be certain to order the correct base for your square bars. The Podium Rapid 460R fits square bars with a slot on the underside. Podium 460 fit traditional, non-slotted square bars.
