For that price, go with the JBA UCAs instead. SPC / Light Racing has had a number of issues over the years. Enough that I won't consider them anymore.

JBA will be the route I'll be taking too when I finally decide it's UCA time. Maybe when I get new tires and move up to 285's, I'll get UCA's then.

    Aww man for real??
I was narrowed down to both those options. Thought I read somewhere SPC got their act together recently with their latest Gen?
Now that I look, I think I linked to the old model...
And is it me or Why does SPC seem so much more popular?

What tipped you off to them being the old model?

I’ve been running SPCs since 2015 and put 60k miles on them with no issues. Mine were the older ones with no zerk fittings though. And I think I bought mine before they increased in price, $375 maybe?

You used to be able to get them for around $370 shipped. That was after the first "redesign." IMO, they are one of the more popular options because they are one of the cheapest. I think they've re-designed them a few times, and plenty of people are happy with them. I get the sense that you are playing roulette with whether you get a set that has problems or not.

Problems with those that I've seen pics or heard complaints: Broken arms, broken joints, bad bushings, and squeaking. Of course, squeaking is more of an annoyance than something like the actual metal arm breaking; but I don't really want to spend money on an "upgrade" that is going to annoy or potentially kill me.

I'm sure they are out there, but I have yet to read anything bad about JBA UCAs.

I know they list some combos on the page but I would also email them with your wheel's size, bs, offset, and tire size to make sure there will be no issues. I did that with what I plan to run when I get these and was emailed back within minutes with an answer.

mostly weight and price for me. But it seems the 10k and 12k are about the same weight and the price is about the same so those 2 metrics are thrown out when the 12k is on sale for about the price of the 10k.

The older models are tubular, the newer ones are more square forge pressed.
