That's FAR too big of a brush for what I'm doing...

I've been using one of these:

I'm a grinder, not a welder, and I'm definitely not a painter, lol.

But that's fresh paint, I looked at it this morning and once it dried it looked much more consistent. Need another coat or two tho.

 

What's interesting to me is that you can actually see a "seem" where the welds are located on the other side of the skids.

It's not something I noticed until I threw some paint on there. You can barely feel it if you run your hand across it.

 

Thats called penetration... a sign of a good weld

yes, last summer i first encountered a very BAD vibe that came straight into the cabin every time the RPM hit 2.1k in all gears it seemed
still chasing the issue, nobody on TW i have searched has ever had this particular grinding vibe
so IDK what is causing it, but A/C has a major role from my troubleshooting last summer season

it did not replicate yesterday...
maybe it disappeared? will know within the next six months i suppose

Guess I just never noticed how it actually swells the metal, I've always just seen the discoloration.

 

stay far away from road salts with that damage
or get it fixed SOON
