It took me a while to measure since I needed to find an area that was level. I have the extended 2.5 coil overs. Part number 880-06-418. The first pic is driver's side, the second pic is passenger side.

Right on, so a little on the tall side. If you run into ride quality issues you may want to take a little preload out of those coilovers. We typically recommend 21" for max height.

I appreciate the help! I will swap out the springs to gain a little bit more lift and reduce preload.

Standard street tune. I only carry bike and camp gear weight in the rear during summer months and off toad use is limited to just bumpy, washboard fire roads these days. So I really don’t need much.
The rears replaced some very worn out 5100’s so it’s not a fair comparison. Between the new shocks and new tires, it’s riding like a dream now.

Good info, thanks! Any idea what lift numbers are with 27 threads exposed? (Center Axle to fender)

More accurate! I’d actually prefer people listed thread count vs relying on them measuring.

Different spring will not lift the truck taller, only reduce the amount of preload. See diagram below to better show that.

Not exactly. Depending on the sprung weight of the truck, you could have anywhere from 0-3" of lift with the same amount of threads showing. Spring rate/length also comes into play with threads showing.

The ride is a touch harsh so I'm at least swapping out the springs to reduce preload. It's a little disappointing that I am only able to get between 2 1/4"- 2 3/8" lift over stock (3rd Gen) with these coil overs. I was hoping to get at least 2 1/2" and the ride still be smooth. When I swap out the springs I'm going to have them set them to 2 5/8" so that after they settle I hopefully get 2 1/2".

-You will not fix the harsh ride with a longer spring. Valving inside the shock controls ride quality, and a few other factors like tire rating will also come into play. This is why we custom valve every shock we sell.
-The extended length coilovers are certainly capable of offering a 3" lift, however if you plan to go off-road and ride quality is important to you, we recommend the 21" height. This allows for an adequate amount of up/down travel for dampening purposes. Of course ride quality is subjective, and we're pretty picky :)

I actually don’t know what lift over stock I’m running. I find that to be unreliable and subjective to each individual truck. It’s prollly 1-1.5” over stock 3rd gen. Which is perfect for me.

Im also on 14” 650# springs and only have like 3-5 threads showing.

Is the 0-3" lift that is specified for these coil overs based on lift over stock on a 2nd Gen? If I recall correctly the stock lift on 2nd Gen's is 20" and 3rd Gen's is 21" from the center of the hub to bottom of fender flare, is that correct? So am I already at 3" lift?

It definitely is, but I didn’t mean how many inches of lift over stock it provided you but rather, just the overall center to fender number.

Idk. I don’t park on level ground. If I think of it next time I’m in a flat parking lot I’ll let you know.

Only model that comes with a lift over stock height is the TRD Pro, which is a 1" lift. We don't reference hub to fender measurements to figure out lift height.

So is it safe to say that in theory with these coil overs I can lift my truck 3" from stock? I'm not going for that but would like between 2 1/2" and 2 3/4".

Hey Accutune, do you have a photo of the Fox 2.5 ext tvl coilovers with the resi mounted correctly? Also the rear Fox 2.0 ext tvl with resi, the ones that mount to the shock. I want to use it as a guide for when my new shocks are installed next week. Thanks!
