What do you guys think of the nitro shocks? Would do those with the OME leaf springs. But I read that it's a sport shock, and now I'm wondering how stiff is it? How does it perform on the trails? My blue and Yellows are decent for the price but I need another inch of lift and want a better feel off road and ideally on road as well

Sport shock really doesn't have any bearing on the characteristics of a shock absorber and a shock exchange alone will not net you any lift. Lift is accommodated by the springs, the shocks are just for dampening control.

5100 are digressive shocks meaning good for g forces and overall on road handling/turns

Nitros are progressive, meaning better for bumps and hoops, overall off-road comfort.

I would be hard pressed to find a difference in running either or and it highly depends on your use of the vehicle. For a good 50/50 mix either shock will be ok.

I personally run 5100 and find it awesome for my mostly highway miles I do off-road every few weeks and the 5109 have kept up well.

If you are trying to gain another inch or have require components with alot more capability, I would go with a 2.5" shock. Personally if I were to upgrade I would opt for the Dobinsons IMS series with king/icon any 2.5" /14"/650-700 (for armor) springs.

Highly recommend that setup. Great vendor as well. I believe you will be very happy running that combo as many other members run the same setup with great feedback.

Yeah the 3rd gens are a bit heavier and so the spring rate and shock valving will be higher to accomodate the additional weight compared to a 2nd gen.

I've been running 5100s on all 4 corners for awhile and have been happy with them. The OME shocks I used to run were much smoother overall. I actually wanted to go back to OME in rear, but my ride height is 4 or 5" over stock and the OME shocks are too short for that. I just ordered another set of B110s. I do prefer the ride of OME shocks though.
