A TW member posted in the hood swap thread, asking for swap plus $700... Everyone needlessly tore him a new a-hole, so he then asked for an even swap . So I jumped on it. I actually paid the dealer to swap it. That way neither of us had to lift a finger and it would still be warrantied.

He was a cool dude. I bought him lunch during the swap and we got to know each other. Obviously by his post count, he hasn't been back on TW. Once again, the TW welcome wagon drives off another would be member.

Well they are bare and $100 off price of new but no waiting.
Thought I hit the jackpot as they are exactly what i was looking for last night and they are new. Just not long enough.

I nabbed a set of Line-X'd bolt on DCLB sliders in the Seattle area a couple weeks ago. They come up once in a while around here. They were lightly used and I got them at basically half price by the time you consider shipping and the cost of Line-X'ing. Now I just need to find time to bolt them on.

Never mind, disregard my comment. These are not what I am looking for. They don’t really have the strength I’d expect from a slider. I’d be more in line with their heavy duty ones or another brand.

Yeah, so I opened was the mobtown page cuz the CL picture looked a bit fuzzy.. There are no brackets extending under the rail. Just lateral to it. I’d worry about jacking the truck up with only that and bolts. I am sure it offers some protection, just not what I am looking for or possibly what the original buyer was looking for

 

After looking at the MT website, I'm not sure why they didnt use the heavier duty mounting design? They cost the same as the regular sliders but do have free shipping.

 

Just order trail gear sliders. Cheap, DOM. 4wp will get them shipped to their store for free. Mine have been on since 2013 or 2014 with no issues. Plenty of trees rocks and even a fire hydrant haven’t taken any toll on them.

 

All the reviews mention having to drill holes due to them not lining up with any existing holes/bolts. Is that true? Amazon has them for like $380 shipped so the price is right for sure!

Wow, that kinda too me down memory lane my first truck was a 69’ Ford Camper Special. To bad it wasn’t a van so I could of hung out in it while I had to wait for my dad to tow me home Or bring me parts all the time when that POS would break down. Taught me to buy reliable transportation though.
