Anyone know anything about Anderson AR-15s? Quality? Reliability? Cost?

just like any gun reliability can vary between a Monday made one and a Friday made one. Go with what you like and check out Rural King or RKguns.com for neat prices if you do not mind the drive out west.

I mean, im not sure. But who knows. Maybe some people.
They are garbage. I just told randy. Their tolerances suck, they are overgassed and have accuracy issues. They dont sell ARs that cheap for no reason. My barrel and trigger alone cost more than that weapon

Yeah I agree it's a "budget" rifle. But to be fair the price is a 'used' price that they advertise to get people to drive into the store. That same rifle new is $800.

So if all you can afford is a Poverty Pony AR and absolutely will not use it for self defense ad will not get frustrated and annoyed with jams and misfeeds, then go for it. For a little bit more you can get one that is better. AR's are cheap these days o for $700 you can get a basic rifle that is reliable.

So I bought the poverty pony and I gotta say, I’m enjoying it. I just took it to the range to get the red dot sighted in. Put 60 rounds through it with no issues.

Now, I’m not some expert marksman. In fact I barely qualified on the rifle in the navy. But once I got the red dot sighted in I was pretty happy with this 25 yard grouping standing up.

    Nice..

I was getting ready to reply with the, I have one and it shoots fine. Statement..

That said, I bought it back when the last man was in office and the big gun scare was in full force. You couldn’t find an AR anywhere. then if you did, prices were up and people would damn near grab it out of your hand. Only purchased it to say I have one.

I have a different model, and has been trouble free since day one. I do have 1500+ rounds (not a lot) through it as well with no issues at all.

This is a cheap gun no doubt. but shoots in the direction I want it to shoot, while hitting what my eyeballs can see with the iron sights (poly).

I say..... shoot the piss outta it. I doubt you or I will ever out shoot the gun.

My thoughts as well, I’m very happy with the purchase. I was feeling a little down from the negative things I read until I shot it and I perked back up. Want to replace a couple things on it like the grip and the stock, but those will come with time.

    Cool.

There is negativity about every dang thing out there. Shoot it, then upgrade or build later.

My little turd. and before anyone says my sights are on backwards.... they are, on purpose.

as long as you realize they are backwards and adjust accordingly when zeroing, it doesn’t matter.

Rite rite. Front doesn’t matter. Up is up, down is down. No matter which way it’s facing. Rear is as you say. As long as the shooter knows this.

The reason I mounted them like this was.. they would both fold down the same direction.

@EatSleepTacos Target wise, I still use what I was trained on years ago for a zero. Granted if you can set them up at the specific distance.

    https://www.rainwriter.com/product-p/ritr-9125.htm They work for me.

Have not tried these yet. https://www.rainwriter.com/product-p/ritr-9126.htm
