Harsh vibration when slowly turning the wheel and moving

I have a really harsh vibration in the steering wheel when I turn the wheel as I'm moving slowly from a stop. Mostly when backing out if a spot.

Anyone know what this might be?

I have a 2008 4x4 dc w/king rr set at 2.5", rear aal, 265/70/17 bfgs

 

odd im ive noticed some serious vibrations almost bouncing up and down when in situations like you have described, although im a first gen id be interested in knowing as well

 

I'm guessing that your tires are rubbing, I get the exact same sound when slowly backing out and turning. It's my tires rubbing on something, even though I trimmed the piss out of my front mud flaps. I should probably just remove them.

 

Might be your lsd in the rear if you have it.If so,you probably just need to add some friction modifier.

 

hmmm ima thread jack here and say that im lifted and still have stock tires and an e locker in the rear

 

Im having this same issue where when i turn from a stop i feel a vibration coming from the front wheels. Started at 30,000 miles and is progressively getting worse. It seems to really vibrate after a long drive when turning in a parking lot going slow.

My set up is a 2007 prerunner TRD sport w/ 5100's set at .85 and TSB leafs in the rear. Also running 265/70/17 wrangler silent armors.

First i thought it was my passenger wheel bearing so i replaced it... 300 bucks later n still had the vibs =( I've replaced the brakes pads thinking that might be it n still have the vibs. Highly think its my rotors cuz i would step on the brake and have no vibs at the steering wheel. Plus going strait from a stop there is no issue of any vibration. Only think i can think of is if its my rear LSD. I replaced the fluid at 30k with Lucas diff fluid and a tube of LSD additive. Reason why I suspect its the rear diff is because the vibrations get alot worse the more the truck is warmed up.

Anyone else have this similar issue??

 

You guys have lifts? Check the back of your lower control arms...tires are probably rubbing on them. I had the same thing at first becsuse the camber was in "spec" but far from perfect. I bitched to the dealer and they did a better job on the alignment. No more rubbing, and less vibes.
