    E-6 is the new paygrade. it means he got promoted and will make a little more money and be a little more respected. The E is for enlisted. there is another pay grade for officers and that begins with O. ex: O-6.

    Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
    well it was still a competative board. 4 stripes and 5 people. the next guy in age to me was 10 years older and 2 were over 20 years in.

    i wish. that $40 bump a drill isnt gonna go too far...haha

    i get paid for 9 if that makes it any better...lol. had a 3 year break between AD and guard. hoping this will look good on my OCS package when a comm officer slot opens up next year.

    yeah...i just talked to a girl i was in high school w/ that was 2 years ahead of me. she's at 11-12 years TIS on AD and is putting on E-6 the day after me:D

    In the AF we can't make E-7 earlier than 9yrs and can't make E-6 earlier than 6yrs. Hopefully before I'm eligible for E-7 I'll be a butter bar
