Both rear wheels stuck (rusted) on

Searched the forum, haven't seen this addressed (at least not with my search terms).

2019 OR AT DCSB with stock wheels. 9.5k miles. Assuming dealership did the work they said they did, tires were rotated at about 5k miles.

Both rear wheels appear to be rusted on.

All lug nuts off. Tons of rust. Doused everything with WD40 overnight, used a heat gun, drove up and down the driveway with the lug nuts loose, used a rubber mallet, kicked the tires, apologized for kicking them and then pleaded with them, nothing. Both rear wheels stuck on.

Both front wheels popped off no problem.

Have to ask -- Is there anything other than the lug nuts (and the center of wheel that pops off) that I need to remove to get the wheel off?

If this is really a rust issue, any suggestions?

Ya have to hit it with your purse a little harder.

 

With all the wheel nuts loose and the tire off the ground, lean a short piece of wood against the inside of the rim and hit it with a decent sized metal hammer. The wheel should pop off....

 

Give the tire a good kick at the 12 or 6 o clock position and it'll come off. Put some anti seize on the hub before the install

 

You gotta kiss it and tell it how much you love her. Then she’ll open up and you can get right in there.

 

I bumped the inside of my tires with an 8lb sledgehammer at my last rotation. Brushed all the contact areas with anti seize.

 

A 2019 with rusted wheels? Did you park in the ocean? Not something I'd expect.

 

Not much you can do besides what you've already tried.

• Keep pounding on it with the aforementioned BFH. A rubber mallet won't do much, so use a block of wood and a big-ass hammer.

• Jack the rear end up, put it on jack stands, put some boards under the tires (just in case), crawl under the truck and kick the living poop out of the tire from the back side.

• Keep soaking it in penetrating fluid better than WD-40.

• Loosen the lugs and find some railroad tracks to drive over a few times?

 

This or put the lugs on loosely and drop the tire down quickly on the 2x4 edge

 

Where is the guy that broke his screen with a light tap. Maybe he can help.

 

Bring it in to the dealership. You have a warranty, this is a warranty issue!

 

He couldn't handle the internet and all the cyber bullying. Which is weird, because how is that even a thing anyways, just block the person, boom bullying done.

 

We don't want solutions! We want drama and problems. That is the 3rd gen way!

He got the solution, don't punch the stereo and the glass won't break.

100% it's normal sticking due to aluminum and steel meeting under pressure and temperature.
