    Ya, no.
    The first version I installed were adhesive (AVS), not in-channel. To be fair, I probably would have hated any stick-on version but as I said the quality of what i received was poor & the unfinished black edges against the white truck amplified the issue. They had to go. I didn't buy the same manufacturer the second time because I was unhappy with the quality. The second purchase were (WeatherTech) in-channel & the quality was very good. I think the in-channel visors look much better than the adhesive style (especially on a white truck), regardless of manufacture.

    Beware. I've seen lots of items described on ebay as OEM that actually weren't. Unfortunately not all sellers are honest when listing items.
    When it comes to money...........

    If that OEM garnish or any OEM part isn't being sold by a Toyota dealership I'd be skeptical.
    Several thousand transactions have taught me to be cautious and skeptical about any ebay transactions.
    Learned some of my best lessons the hard way!

    Yes! Ended up blowing the tranny. I was 17. Young, dumb and ..........
    Watched my Dad totally disassemble and rebuild that thing. Had never seen so many small parts spread out all over in one place, absolutely mind blowing to me at that age.
    My Dad was amazing, guy could fix anything! Mechanical, electrical, didn't matter. His friends used to give him the business they called him the "Professor!" He actually hated the moniker.
    I should have paid much more attention growing up! :frusty:

    Junk yards are a good source of genuine Toyota parts. Never got a bogus part from one.

    I thought it was weird that you went out of your way to swap what side the tape was on. Those first ones are definitely awful, but I don't know if you can truly blame it on the brand. I don't think anyone could make that look good. That being said, WeatherTech makes bombproof gear so alls well that ends well!

    Absolutely! I recently bought a console cover that I had @Lugnut22 custom upholster for me and it was mint even before Kylin even touched it. The cost was well below what I would have paid from a dealership! Some great deals in a boneyard if you take the time to look and unlike the old days of scrounging a yard, now you do it all on line.
    Here's the cover Kylin did, matches my theme and graphics.

    Thanks. My idea, Kylin's expertise!
    He has a thread here for those interested. Does excellent work and is much cheaper than a trim shop.
    Search "Custom Upholstered Pieces" or PM Kylin
    @Lugnut22
    Edit: He's a busy guy so if he doesn't get back to you be patient. Other contact info as well as some other examples of his work on his thread, check it out!
