    I’m here! Lol
I don’t spend much time on the internet so I check in once a week or so.
So first of all, thank you to everyone for their input. I realize I owe a ton of $ on my truck still and that it is more than what it’s worth.
So it’s a TRD Sport and I had the dealer add on Gap and 6yr tire and rim replacement. I guess I got f@cked on “add ons” and didnt pay close enough attention when it came down to negotiation. My father helped with it as he himself is a salesman. If I remember correctly:
    Sticker was 38k
    We talked down to 34k
And then add on Gap, tire and rims for 6 years, tax title license blah blah blah. So yeah I overpaid most likely. No shame I’ll admit it. I’ll hold onto her for a while and see how life happens.

Im going to backtrack big time. I was seriously giving the OP a hard time, but in reality, I purchased a wrangler from a dealer and lost my ass when I was 18. Young and stupid. Sorry if I was out of line.

I know I’ll get even more people on here telling me I overpaid or idk what I’m doing. And that’s fine, it doesn’t bother me at all :)
The point is: my vehicle before this one is what started this downwards spiral. I’m actually decent with money. I have a good deal saved up but that is for my wedding next year. If life wasn’t moving at the speed of light, I’d pile so much more together and just make big principal payments. But hey, you live and you learn.

No need to apologize. Nobody will admit it, but it happens to a good majority. No hard feelings :)

People on here will look for the smallest reason to call someone stupid. Fuck them.

Just stay focused and keep paying and eventually you will even out. You have the best vehicle to get there. Highest resale is what the Tacoma is best known for. Try and hang on and eventually you will get evened out. Don’t let people make you feel dumb. Everyone has to learn and grow and get in a better position. Just take a step back and try and make this work and it will pay off in the long run.

You can sell private party for what kbb recommends. Talk to your credit union for a 10k non secured loan. Say you get 30k from a private buyer, use 8 of the 10k to pay off remainder if the loan then use 2k for a beater.

    A few.
You should be able to cancel that tire and wheel replacement warranty and get a refund on the balance. Also u could cancel the gap insurance and have it added to your auto insurance policy.

That doesn't sound like you overpaid for the truck. That's about what I paid for mine as well, but didn't add on any dealer options at all and put down a pretty sizable down payment. What I think we are all not understanding here is how after two years you still owe 38k? Even If the addons added an extra 6k (which is insane!) That means almost all of your payments must be going to interest or maybe your loan terms are so long that the monthly payments dont apply very much to the principle. Anyway tough situation and that sucks man, I say keep the truck, increase your monthly payments if you can and enjoy, eventually the amount you owe will balance with what it's worth and you can dump it then.

This too! Doesn't hurt to check, but I think they probably wont adjust your loan balance, they might just give you the cash (put that towards your loan or as a downpayment if you refinance). Do not buy more accessories lol

My Wedding cost under $100 at City Hall and we are still Married 13 years later. Consider downsizing your wedding. Starting a Marriage in debt is a bad idea as many Marriages fail due to Financial issues. I invited no one to my wedding but I was surprised how many people asked me if they could come because they wanted to see what a City Hall wedding was like. The only bigger rip-off than buying a Car is the Wedding Industry. I admire the fact you are accepting responsibility for your mistakes, most on the Internet won't do that. Consider my suggestion, I've seen people spend so much on their wedding they couldn't buy a House.

What part dont you believe? The math? I'll break it down for you.
The MSRP of my truck was $39,147. I paid $34,500. That's 12% off MSRP.
After I posted my #'s, the OP said his Truck stickered at $38k, and he paid $34k. He negotiated 11% off MSRP.
Me & the OP are within 1% on what we negotiated off of the sticker price.
Not so sure what part you can't believe, or figure out for that matter.
As for where I'm from? Boston, Ma.
There are a lot of big toyota dealers around here.

Maybe you can answer some of these questions yourself.
Have you ever seen a TRD Off Road without 4x4?
Ever see 1 without a tow package?
    I haven't.

2019 TRD Off Road DCSB (with auto trans) $36,765
    Premium Tech package $770
    Floor mats $248
    Door edge gaurds $140
    Mudgaurds $129.
    Destination charges $1095
    Total MSRP was $39,147.
As stated before, I paid $34,500 (12% off).
I wonder how much of the discount off MSRP is a regional thing?.
The day I bought my truck I went to 4 different dealers comparing TRD Sports to Off Roads and short beds to long beds. 1 of the dealers had tacomas online for 12% off sticker. 2 of the other dealers agreed to match that price. It all came down to finding a dealer that had the off road/short bed sitting on the lot.
I'm happy with what I paid, but I dont think it was a once in a lifetime deal. It seems about average for this area.
