I wanna do the drive shaft mod you did. Need help removing stock unit. I've never done that. Should have watched closer when you an Josh removed your twisted driveline on the trail.

I've always wanted to try fishing Beardsley Afterbay in my float tube. Lets go camping there, if there's such a place.

Lets do it! I’ve never fished the afterbay but between sand bar and spring gap area has some good trout so I’m sure the afterbay is nice. Barbless only between spring gap and the afterbay. Camping at Beardsley is terrible but there are some decent places nearby to lay your head for the night

I'm a barbless hook fly fishing guy, so no problem. I'm in. Let's make this happen. The Afterbay, and Reservoir, are open to fishing year round.Snow blocking the road is the primary concern.

I think the search for a good alignment shop is now over for me. Our little shop here in Hughson... believe it or not, is fully familiar with SPC UCAs as well as our suspension set ups. And he's good enough to listen to what I need, and be able to translate it in to the correct alignment.

@RobertsT4R is good to go.

Dude did, literally, exactly what I asked him to do. He brought the LCAs out, so the UCAs could stay at (the SPC recommended UCA neutral position). And he also gave us some positive Caster to pull the tire away from the pinch weld area. Tire looks close to the bumper valance, but that's what I was hoping for. Robert will be running a Trail Gear bumper which will give him plenty of clearance in front of the tire.

    20200302_174648.jpg

The alignment also brought the front down a bit. When the LCAs were pulled all the way in, I had to push the UBJs all the way in to get it to match up some what.

All in all... I'm really happy with the alignment.

More progress made on the wedding items.

    20200229_205942.jpg

Center pieces... LOTS or center pieces... and there's more. Table numbers that need to be painted (24 of them). Frames that need to be painted (for seating charts and such)... and I'm sure there's more.

Oh, and the hexagon that now needs to be primed and painted.

Just when I thought I had my garage cleared and good

Meanwhile... my truck is about 7000 miles over due for an oil change.

So, ive been thinking about this lately...

whos the local fab guy (welder/Metallurgist)?

Im wondering how hard it will be to cut these frame plates off my frame to make way for new rock sliders. The welds do not go the entire perimeter of the frame plates and are in the shape of an L along the plate/frame.

    DSCF7353.jpg

I could just cut the sliders off the plates and leave them, but ill be moving to a region where the winters are more harsh here pretty soon so id be concerned about rust building up between the plate and frame (in an area i would always wonder about, but never be able to see). So I'd really like to get these plates off to clean up whatevers behind them sooner than later.

Im not super experienced making precise cuts with a grinder and its going to be cutting off welds directly onto the frame (its been a long time since high school shop class haha) So id really love (or pay with beer, tacos, cash, nudes) for some quality workmanship.

Those L brackets are welded to the frame?
    Are those holding sliders on?
    And you're getting different sliders?

No snow right now but maybe this weekend will be getting some. Between work and play March is booked up for camping for me. Week after Easter is no good, 75 hour work week for me. Looking like end of April before I can make any commitments I can keep. I’m going to take a drive out there before then to see if theres any place I want to camp. Last and only time I camped in the campground and I said never again. Day trips are all I’ve done there since

No not at all, i havnt bought new sliders yet and i got about 1 year before we make the jump to free America.

i should be able to hangout on the 21st mod day to lend some extra hands. You can see what/why then. (Im sure it seems odd to want to cut off some sliders just to slap new ones on lol)

Need to crawl out from under the rock where i hid most of 2019

I admit... I was a bit confused about what you are doing. But if you want them off, we can get them off.

Definately come to the Mod Day. Like you said, at very least we can look at it and formulate a plan. That will be a bit time consuming so I don't know if we can do it on Mod Day (depends on how many people show up and what they want/need to do).

My number 1 priority on Mod Day is to get @MattJakobs 3rds replaced. If that is going well and/or gets done early, I'd potentially be free to start cutting. But that's going to be something we gotta weigh out that day.
