OK, I am ready to order me up a set of Step bars in Textured black asap! I called N-Fab just a bit ago because I was confused as they list 2 different parts that both seem to fit. They guy told me I was correct, that this one:
05-10 Toyota Tacoma Crew Cab Wheel to Wheel
    T0678CC
Fits and it has a 2" main tube which most people seem to favor on the Tacomas and it fits 5' and 6' beds

    This one also fits:
05-10 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab Wheel to Wheel
    T0580CC
But he told me it has a 3" Main Tube and it fits only 5' beds which doesn't seem to be as popular, but the 3" thing isn't listed under the description.

Does anyone have either of the two and could possibly post a pic so I can get an idea of the differences?

BTW: N Fab told me no additional charge for textured black.

I would like to see some with a 3" tube....that one has too much gap btw the tube and the truck, IMHO.

I do notice the gap, and they market it as "high and tight on the cab" but it could just be the view as I am not looking at it directly side on....But it would be nice to see a 3" tube also, I am liking the 2" though

not many people have the 3" tube. delmarva had the 3 inch on his blue taco. there should be pics on here somewhere. if you don't have a lift they might look a little big. they are about $75 more expensive.

the cheapest i can find right now is autoanything.com $296 shipped but on backorder til oct 25th which i bought. i'm thinking about switching and getting the predators from www.dealeraccessorywholesale.com for $300 shipped and they are available now.

Too bad the 3" bars are only available for the SB, they look a lot better than the 2" bars IMO. Guess I'll have to find some 3" bars from somewhere else for a DC LB.

See, now I am actually liking the 3", much more high and tight, they look a little smoother like the other brand I cant remember that don't have the pleated metal for better grip on the steps, those were my first choice, but no grip on the step was a deal killer....

I have a set of the 2". I like them.
Let's face it though, They are protecting minimally and are for looks and step convenience.
But from what I remember they cost alot less than sliders and dont have to be welded to 09 or later (pre drilled holes for screws under truck). put mine on by myself with a broken rib in 30 min. I don't advise that BTW.
It really depends what your using the truck for, I don't off-road so I have a trd sport and some cosmetic protective after market parts.

You should also check out the Avid steps. They are very much like the N-Fab, and a lot cheaper...

I know, I was digging the 2" but the 3" looks alot tighter and cleaner than I expected, I just have to get over the differences in the two different sizes of tubing. I did like the Avids at first, but since the primary reaason is that my wife needs an extra step to help her get in the truck, with no actual cleated step and just tubing, that was a deal breaker.....

I wanted to go with these but they are not finished and don't have the pleated metal for better grip on the steps. Unless you use a rattle can they wind up costing the same.:(
