Paid the Taco off today!

I was able to pay my 2016 Taco off today. 5 year loan, paid off in 15 months. Feels great!

Nice. Keep making your monthly payments to a savings account. You won't miss it. Next vehicle you can pay cash. And so on.
And I kinda like the interior in a white truck.

Nice, we are currently dumping a ton of money into our 4runner. After that we are going to hammer out the Tacoma. Didn't wan't to get a new truck but my old frontier blew a head gasket.

no, the idea is if he keeps making a car payment to himself, then when he needs to/wants to buy a new vehicle, it’s in cash. If he puts it in a 401k or his mortgage he can no longer access it for a vehicle purchase.

I’ve been paying cash for vehicles for quite a while and I do the same thing. I’ll figure out what the payment would be for a 36 month loan on whatever vehicle I’m buying and that’s what I pay myself in to an entirely separate account.
