OME Leaf Spring install,Fox 2.0 Shocks..Question?

I installed OME Leaf springs(2.25" lift),and Fox 2.0 factory race series shocks today.The question I have is will they settle?, and by how much?
Right now The back end is a little higher then the front. I could adjust My Fox Coilover in the front up more ,But don't want that stiff ride..
Will they settle, or should I pull a HD leaf out??
If anyone has had this problem before, how did you fix it??

Would like a 2” all around on one of mine soon. Not sure of the adjustments procedure on those Fox, jack it up, turn the spanner wrench? Leave it parked and spanner wrench, or is there something else?

Yeah the fox lifted the front 2",and you can adjust it up or down. The higher you go the stiffer it is, which is ok off-road, but driving on the road I like it to be soft. The rear is lifted 2.25' from the OME leaf springs. The rear fox shocks I have on there are custom length ,because fox don't make a shock valve for 2.25' for my year, make model,...only 0-1'.So I order that shock length, punched out the mounts, and put bushing/mounts on them that fit my truck, and corrected valve ..
If you want to lift your truck only 2",I like Fox, because they make a nice Factory bolt on kit, its valve truly for your year ,make ,model vehicle
King is the best in my opinion, and King offers whatever you want they will build it.
Icon is good too, they make a good kit for Tacoma's.

A 2” lift with stock like ride (softer) is perfect. Nice setup

 

Considering you paid a pretty penny for those Fox rears to match the added flex your leaf pack provides, I sure hope you get extended bump stops and an extended brake line.

Unless your truck is just a pavement princess, then no problem there.

Also, BPV bracket should be added to the list, which you can realistically make yourself anyway.

 

I just ordered brake lines.,didn't think about bumper stops, good looking out!!What's a BPV Bracket?,and do you have a link or picture so I can check it out

BPV bracket helps to even out the brake load, even though we don't really *need* it. Some mechanical sensing thing that comes into play with loads, etc.

And yeah, don't wheel until you get your bump stops in; ideally you should flex your leaf pack (with only one leaf on) and figure out your extended and collapsed lengths and/or travel.

You've already got the shocks, so really you'll be going backwards to buy some extended bump stops made to a specific length to protect your shocks.

 

Unless you're referring to Fox up front, the rears do nothing for lift; leaf pack provides and supports the weight of the vehicle

But yes, lowering the lift up front (less preload) will soften up the ride.

 

Where did you get your bump stops from??

 

I went with Wheeler's Super Bump Stops

Old pic, from the day I installed my entire suspension (and found out I had my shocks upside down) but you'll see how little travel is left and how close the bump stop is to making contact -



With shorter shocks, I would've killed them.

There was an extra 2" if you directly compare with the distance to the bump stop, but you have to account for the bump stop compression as well.

That meant at full compression I had a 1/2" of play...

 

And the LSPV is seen there in that pic too. In case he wanted to see one, it's attached to the rear pumpkin with it look like a 2" or so extension. Moves that valve up back to its proper height so the rear brakes get used liek they should. Other wise might rarely ever get the rears to engage in these things. But yeah it's a good suggestion, good thing to do with the lift

 

I was just about to say your shocks are upside down,lmao..Those are the shocks I just took off my truck, good shocks!. I was just thinking, if I need bump stop that's 2-1/2" higher then my stock one. Why don't I just weld 2-1/2" of the bump on the frame?just cut off the stock bracket on the frame, and fab one tat stronger ,but 2-1/2 in longer..??
Maybe im thinking of this all wrong?, but stops are like 200=+ $,when I got the metal and a welder

Sure you can stack up metal to bring up the factory bump stop, but why do that on a truck that looks as pristine as yours?

Not to mention...would you rather land on a soft mattress or hard concrete if you fell backwards?

The aftermarket bump stops are crazy soft and you won't feel them when you bottom out and meet your bump stops.

I bought all my suspension about 8-9 months ago.

I'm already swapping out my front coilovers just because I'm too lazy to get my current ones modified. Have Fox 2.5 up front and going King Ext 2.5

 

You can add spacers to the top pad to extend you bump stops too. Also you can go this route.

Also throw some weight in the back and go flex it a bit itll help break in the springs. And the back is supposed to be higher than the front.
