I’d love to have a home out there. For an East Texas guy, that place is heaven

That is false. I’m sponsored by ripcord and run one on my comp bow and hunting bows but killed 100s of deer with a a biscuit. Shot a biscuit over 100 yards accurately and shot numerous 300x with a biscuit. Honestly for a pure hunting rest there isn’t anything better.

The new rip cords are bearing driven instead of spring making them more reliable and quiet. Archery is a lot like trucks and it’s personal preference but absolutely nothing wrong with a biscuit. I still have a dozen or so of my bowtechs with em.

Hey everyone, new to the thread and bow hunting. This will be my second season with my bow and hopefully a successful one at that. Anyone hunting D16 in CA this year?

It appears you were reading my mind. I have shot a biscuit accurately at 100+ yards several times in practice when i was able to compete. I didn't want to write that when i saw the quoted statement as, IDK I guess i just don't see folks agreeing. The biscuit is hands down the best all around hunting rest (to me) that can be had. You guys are really giving me the itch to get back into this I want to getbeck into my 3D and indoor o bad I can't stand it and I had given up hope to do it again.

You need to find an aspect of the sport your enjoy. I’m not a huge 3d or indoor guy anymore but Bowtech makes me shoot a few tournaments each year and it’s great for customer relations.

Hunting is my passion and that’s what drives me. It’s extremely easy to take every aspect of sport too seriously and next thing you know you’re pissed for missing an x or 12 ring or not seeing the quality of deer ya want.

Step back, enjoy the time shooting, tuning, scouting, hanging out with friends and family. Make it fun. As soon as you turn it into a job and work you will hate it.

So camelbak has put their hunting packs on an absurd sale. The Trophy S is marked down to $89 from $299

I just bought one so it’s probably a little late, but does anyone have any real world experience with this pack?

Also, my bow should be ready on Monday. Settled on a Matthews Triax, trueglo 5 pin, and UMP drop away. Stoked to begin practicing and even more stoked for September

Finally had to time to pull one of my staff bows outta the box and get a rough set up on it today after work. First 2 arrows at 20 yards were money, shot bare shafts out to 40. New cam system is a dream to tune.

Set center shot to 13/16 then use the deadlock cam system and move the cams so it’s 100 percent true center shot. No shims, no top hats, no flopping limbs. Freaking awesome. Hopefully this weekend get the stock strings shot it and settled. Have a set of jbk on the way for the woodland since it’s gunna be my main bow. Have an od green riser, black limbs 70lb coming from the factory for my 3d and back up bow.

So I’ve purchased my bow and apparently the shop is waiting on modules from Matthews (or a vendor) to set my draw length.
That was over a week ago.. should it take that long?? Dude messed up and told me a week and a half ago that shipping would be a day or so and I’d get it in 3-4 days.
I also realize whats going on in the country. Arguably.. I started the process well before people started freaking out

Mathews is great about getting parts to the dealer, prolly just due to what’s going on in the county. Odd that the dealer didn’t have mods honestly. Most are stocked with 100s of different mods.
