That Don Julio box is either old or they have a different box down south and I've never seen Agavero before. Aside from that nothing particularly rare from what I can tell. Pretty decent drinkers though.

@DC 17_3 I'm not exactly sure what this term "burney" means as far as a descriptor but I think I like it!

It's a recently approved term for the less educated folks like me, used with permission of course, to share thoughts without using elaborate descriptions. I feel like I'm not sure if it's burny or burney but that maybe related to whisky and whiskey as well.
There will likely have to be a ruling from @Kanyon71 @Misplaced Nebraskan @916carl @bvbull200 on the spelling and if one or both are acceptable, if it's a regional thing or a tomato/tomato thing.

I believe both spellings can be used interchangeably. :)

If any of you all are near lehigh valley pa, check out 8 oaks distillery. Veteran owned and operated, very good bourbon.

Some people are blessed with a good palate, I am not one of those

I’m probably 5 years into my whiskey journey and I think it was just this last year I was really starting to be able to pick apart 2 Bourbons side by side

it’s not something you just get, takes practice. Unless you are one of those lucky assholes

    lol

Our Safeway lists Talisker as 99.99 and -30 with club card. But I notice they are around 70 everywhere I see them so Safeway is trying to make it look like a deal. I do like it though.

I really like LBP. Got some a few weeks ago. Vanilla nose, a little burnEy up front. Long spicy finish. Best comparison from what I've had is Stagg Jr lite.

Only 14 months, but surprisingly good. Incredibly fun tour, too. Talked with the head honcho for about 25 minutes.
