02 front passenger seat no middle setting

Extra cab, manual seats.

Had the truck for a while and only noticed recently. When trying to adjust the "leg room", the front passenger seat only "locks" in the forward or rearward most position. Any where else it just "free floats" until you hit the back or front. The lever does not seem to have any effect at any other points.

I don't usually have passengers so it is only an annoyance when trying to load or unload stuff from the back bench area.

 

Passenger must be sitting in seat and using the lever under the seat. The lever on seat side is for rear access only.

 

Thanks. I just tried it, without sitting, and it worked properly. Could have sworn I tried that yesterday. Anyway thanks again.

 

Ok. With the seat back in upright locked position the lever under seat works the forward and back adjustment and locking. With or without passenger sitting.
I mastered the driver side but my Dyslexia kicks in on the passenger side.
