Nice!! How thick is the metal and hows the quality? I've been wanting to get one of those and a new fuel tank, my tank is so smashed up it only holds like 10 gallons of fuel.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

I figure if that wont break it loose, next option is an angle grinder... lol

I have a corded angle grinder, but now that I'm switching to Milwaukee cordless...

This is on my shopping list.

    You wont.
And this. If anything it felt a little more clunky than the pennzoil I was running. Pennzoil makes a gl4 manual trans fluid that is approved to work with the Chrysler ax15 trans, which is the same aisin 5spd that's in the Tacoma. I'll probibly switch back to that at the next fluid change and save some $$$.

It is. All the hype in the jeep forums and I used to run it in my YJ. I believe the marlin rebuilt trans I have just says to use regular 75w-90 gear lube, so who knows what these things really need. I used the synchro mesh to break this trans in and tossed the MT90 in because I had it. Next change I'm going back to synchromesh.

I haven't run it in a manual Tacoma, but in other Aisin manual transmissions I have run it, I was sold on it. It sure improved my shifting even compared to brand new gear oil I had in it at first. Yellow bottle Penzoil 'Syncromesh', funny that stuff is making its way over here to Toyotas. I had it in a Aisin transmission in a Suzuki

yeah, I have an evap leak issue which I think is related to the rust going on around the tank and fittings / connections so I'm on the fence with a premptive replacement of my gastank... next time i'm over there I'll be doing a bit closer look at how bad the rust is...

Yea they are all the same trans basically. I found that pennzoil stuff because at the time the only fluid people said you can run was the Chrysler factory stuff that was like $17qt in 2001 dollars.

Busy day/week - got the timing belt and water pump done, valve cover gaskets done, threw on a Mazda 3 shift knob, threw on a Camry SE steering (though the cruise isn’t working yet), lighted ignition mod, and installed my modified 4Runner center console. Will see how the Scion headunit I got is going to look, so I might not keep the aux/usb/12 volt panel, but it was a fun Project to figure out.

Lastly, threw on some ‘04 flares to see what I think compared to the original ‘00 flares.
