So I just came across these oil catch cans and I'm curious if anyone has installed one on their 3rd gen Tacoma ? If so what kinda results?

They are absolutely necessary and I can't believe that Toyota engineers didn't add them. They also are a complete waste of money and don't serve a purpose.

There is a post and a picture here of a guy's air intake manifold. Dirty with oil. Where do you think it came from??? Outside air? Only air is supposed to get in there right? Explain the oil residue then if not from PCV into the air intake manifold. Recirculated burned gasses, oil vapors.
Yep. Oil catch can is a waste of money...

Ohmygosh you mean that the engine actually ends up burning minute amounts of oil?

Three years old, 35k miles, my truck. Never had the intake tube off, always replaced the air filter with OEM at 12k.

This oil left a trail into the throttle body and tb flapper.

This is the residual stuff that a proper catch can will collect before it goes into the intake and the throttle body.
