I did an update before replacing the .ini file.

Doing an update after gives an error about downloading the datalogger. About shows version 1.04.

I also get an error trying to download the 2.0 files.

No problem. I saw you mentioned dongle files weren't ready in the blog, but I assumed your post meant they would be "manually". I'll check back in the AM.

    I can't download non-dongle files either though.

I'm pretty sure I had to click update after dropping the ini file there, and then I was able to download the dongless files for MT.

Saw the 2.0 option but the same download error. So I just downloaded the 2.0 SFOB Premium from Matt's link and flashed the ECU, cleared the DTCs and LVs, idled for 6min and took her for a 6-7 mile spin.

Much better throttle response and low end torque even on 87 octane. Looking forward to climbing those long hwy mtn passes or anytime some extra oomph is needed.

    Thank you everyone!

I am able to download SuperFOB both prem and reg after clicking "update" from the drop down menu. Other files show an error and won't download.

Plenty of laptops on Dell Outlet without the S versions so why even buy one? The upgrade is just another hassle, save time and buy Win 10 Home or Pro.

i didnt find the upgrade to be a hassle at all, and going the route that i did fit my needs. At least at the time of my purchase, there werent many options suitable for a dedicated tuning laptop. Most were either like chromebooks, not suitable at all, or provided too much in the way of capability. I just need something simple for providing a home for my OVTune and any future vehicle tuning software since i have a history of tuning my vehicles, so the HP fit my needs. Enough power to do the job well and quickly without being over-developed, just needed to be upgraded from s-mode into the full version

As for saving time...yeah, i guess.............but i didn't lose much time doing the free upgrade either. It doesn't take long and i wasnt in a rush. I was already tune, just transferring my tuning stuff from a dying old laptop that i shared with the wife to a new dedicated unit
