What sliders are you running and why do you like them? Post a pic of your rig!

I need to make a decision on this pronto. So many options out there, so many questions.

I've noticed different designs for kick outs. Not sure which is most practical in actually saving your ass. For example, not wanting a kick out that leaves me with a tree wedged against the truck behind the slider/in front of the rear tire. Thoughts on kick out design?

Some sliders have square tubing underneath. Some of those have 45 degree angled ends to avoid getting hung up (RCI). Some do not. Does this really matter?

Some are made with all round tubing, aside from the mounting plates. Obviously, DOM is what everyone wants. Does the DOM tubing get hung up on stuff without angled ends?

0 degree seems most useful as a step, but does it really hinder your ground clearance?

I don't care for the look of 0 degree with top plates for the full length.

And then there's lead times. I definitely don't wanna be waiting until July to receive my sliders. Who had good experiences with lead times?

These C4 fab are an option I didn't know about. Generally speaking, I like the design. It tucks up at an angle towards the cab, AND it has a usable step function with flat surface. So it's sort of a mixture of the typical 25 degree vs 0 degree slider. You get the tighter angle plus the step feature. Cool.

It has 45 degree angled ends on the box tubing and it's beefy as hell. That's cool, too.

I think the design of the kick out probably works very well while moving forwards. In reverse I'm thinking maybe not? Probably best if you match your wheel & tire "poke" with it.

Cons, they are not the cheapest. They don't offer any coating, only bare steel. So that ups my cost to have a shop spray them.

Thanks for the suggestion. Know anyone running these locally?

I like the angle and how it looks like it works as a step without the top plate also. Is there a cheaper option? They are the cheapest I have found.

As for the coating, I plan on painting mine flat black with a base coat. They are gonna get scrapped up no matter what, so I don't see the point in paying for a coating I cannot fix on my own.

I found them buried in another slider thread. At least one local guy posted pics. I looked but I am not sure where I found them first.

It’s a useless battle to think this way with this forum. That’s just how it is. Mods don’t really do much. Noobs reviving old threads with a useless comment. Repetitive threads constantly being created. Build threads in the general section. The list goes on. But in general it works and people generally pretty nice :notsure:

The C4 are about $40 more than the RCI shipped when you compare apples to apples (bare steel, with top plates). Lead times for RCI says 1-3 weeks. Not sure if that's currently accurate.

Bloody hell. I want nothing better to do on a Saturday night than have my emails getting blown up by hurt feelings reports.

This thread is disappointing on many levels.

OP...you ask about sliders on your truck, you’re going to get a million different opinions.

What are you looking for in them? Define what you’re looking for, narrow the options down then ask people’s preference.

You don't have a separate email account for TW related things? If not, can't you disconnect that email from being linked to your phone/computer app? I'm just spit balling here.
Seems crazy not two have a separate email account though. I mean even a @yahoo.com would suffice for something like a public forum, no? Hell, AOL that thing and call it a night. Am I right?

Looking for opinions on the points I mentioned in my long original post. All I seemed to get were trolls. And apparently you got some whiners.

Good catch! I didn't even double check. That adds shipping.
