What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

It comes with a mount. His truck likely came with a gopro mount. I can’t remember the years but some came with it from the factory. I just installed the same dashcam with rear cam and used all the mounts that came with it. I did the hardwire mount to mine so it will record if the truck gets bumped when it’s parked.

 

Added an oem bed step today.

 

Not a mod, but put the truck on the wash bay hoist today and steamed the underside. Winter looks to be warming so time to wash off the salt. Keep that frame clean. Makes it last longer.


The hoist is 75,000lbs capacity though. And drops with gravity. Goes up quick but takes a while to go down with that light truck on it.

I have the factory go pro mount and this adapter pops in the go pro mount and the dash cam attaches to the adapter. Doesn't your 2017 have the go pro mount? If not they have a mount for the dash cam for the windshield.

You are right i didnt even notice ... the boards fit very snug against the wheel wells ... all about the angle i suppose

 

I washed her with Dawn soap to remove everything then applied Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Wax as it had no paint protection whatsoever. It turned out very shiny and slick. It is now just a few weeks old and has some paint protection since I park under a Redneck Parking Garage, Oak tree, at work.

 

Very cool. I painted my kitchen and mounted it to the tailgate today. I'm not sure I need a bigger cutting board but I like the $80 option vs. $200.

I installed the Toyota OEM tailgate electric lock today that I bought from Bam wholesale parts. Its all plug and play so it only took a little over an hour. It didn’t come with instructions, but it’s pretty simple if you watch one of the you tube videos for the pop lock version. I like it.

I had to remove my rear mounts when I got my bed stiffeners, I couldn’t close the tailgate with them.

 

Finished off all my interiors with LED

This is how bright it is thru tinted windows at night

My interiors are all Diode Dynamics bulbs

 

As a future FYI- you buy any Toyota part then either ask a dealer or come here and search (or ask ) for the install instructions. It will be in pdf format but there will always be one

How do you like the amber fogs? Not enough output for me. The amber does well in rain and they look great but I went back to Toyota/Lexus LED fogs. I do a lot of highway miles in the dark and the white LED/higher output works better for visibility.
