Unfortunately a good number of us are on the recall list. But my truck runs like a champ daily. Before reading about the recall I don’t “recall” seeing a lot of ppl here needing a low pressure fuel pump replacement. Is anybody here having or had the symptoms? Stalling out at high speeds ( whatever high is ) , failing to restart , rough idle etc

For the year that I owned my Taco that was under the recall I had not one issue and it always ran great.

To clarify, the pump being recalled is the low pressure.

The cricket noise is the high pressure pump.

my lower pressure fuel pump on my 19 sport was replaced @ 4k miles, starting with a few backfires here and there and a week later truck would not start. Sat at dealer for 2 months while waiting on a back ordered pump, at that time my service manager said there was over 150 tacomas in the southwest waiting on a fuel pump. this was back in may of last year

Mine's been having a rough Idle lately. Has been seeming like it wants to stall out. I have my last free oil change at the end of the month just going to have them take care of it then. If they can. I also noticed every once in a while with my steering wheel turned almost fully to the right or left, a groaning sound, and a stop clunk forward. Joints probably just need to be greased. But I'm just going to have them do it all when I drop it off. I'm almost at 25k miles.

Nothing noticeable to report after 11,000 miles. Runs great on multiple cross-country road trips. I was definitely curious about this too, since it is such a wide recall. It might be helpful for those who post whether they do/do not have issues to comment on their mileage as well, if this is a rare (doesn't occur very often, every few thousand miles?) problem.

    Edit: 2019 SR5

On the list - called the dealership and they said they would be mailing out notices when the "remedy" was ready, probably in a month he said. No issues at 15K miles on my 2018.

Haven’t had any of the stalling problems yet, but my truck seems to run like a pos on a pretty regular basis. Every once in a while I’ll get the rough idle which didn’t worry me much, but man does my truck act funky when I’m feathering the throttle. I get a bucking feeling like when you let off of the clutch to quickly in a stick shift, feels like it wants more fuel, air or something? Ive been thinking it’s my transmission for a while, fingers crossed the pump solves my problems!
