12 Volt Guy - Is this guy a scam?

Has anyone ordered from this guy? I placed an order for a elocker wire harness for my 08 Taco and haven't received a response in over a month.

Just checking other 2nd gen guys to see if they ever received their order.

Thanks for the tip. I'll look into it. I know people have ordered from him in the past from here, but things can change in this biz fast :/ we've seen it happen to a few companies on here

 

12v guy has been around forever and was a big name on Pirate.

Surprised he didn't reach out to you. Did you try calling?

 

That's what I figured. I've emailed him 5 times over the past month. No replies. I dont see a phone # anywhere on his site. It's such a janky site lol

Agreed, but 12v guy has been around forever. I just wonder if hes bogged down with a lot of work.

Edit: not a scam, just got a confirmation. Guess he's been swamped with orders the past few weeks will update if I don't receive my order

I’ve been waiting over 3 weeks and no response 2 emails. I get it if he’s swamped but still it doesn’t take much time to respond.

Ya that was one of my 2 attempts to get ahold of him, I’m not at all familiar with FB but it looks like he hasn’t been active there in a while but I could be wrong.

I've ordered from him before, with no issues. I was happy with the product too.

I don’t think he’s a scam but since this thread is the only thing I could find I thought I’d ask my question on it. I’m probably just being impatient but the lack of reply is annoying.

 

I will admit that it was probably 2 years ago.

 

judging by doing a quick google search, and going into the webpage, id never order anything off a site that looks like it was made with HTML code on Notepad back in Windows 2000 era. GL getting the issue resolved.

 

Ya I’m gonna give it another week and then file a PayPal claim, then hopefully he’ll have to get back to me, or refund me. I still want the harness but don’t want to wait 3 months only to find out he’s dead or skipped town.

 

I received my order and he did eventually respond to me. He's just busy and running a one man show, so takes a while to get back to people. Very happy with the product and wouldn't hesitate to order from him again if I needed one.

 

Well, 2 weeks after filing a claim with PayPal I got my money back. PayPal was also unable to get a response from him. So I lost 2 months but at least I got my money back.
