Finally upgrading lift “please don’t say I told you so” LOL

I've always been a fan of the dakars, that's what I have on mine. Good point, he could have already had the blocks, if that's the case, then he's half-assing the fix

 

I’m getting aal eventually bro. No halfassing anything. Have to make funds to buy stuff right.

 

He is taking it one step at a time. Nothing wrong with that. I lifted my front months before lifting the rear. Drove around ass down. I didn't care what others think.

5100 are well known. They are CHEAP and effective. If he likes them, great. If he hates them, well he only spent $200. Compared to buying $1000 coilovers and possibly not liking them.

 

1" is fine, this is dumb. Some people put dakars in and complain immediately about the rough ride.

 

Here she is 1.5” up front 1.5” rear maintained factory rake. Couldn’t be happier Ride is excellent. What a difference from that crap spacer shit. Learning is everything.

finally installed Wheelers 1.5” aal / Used my factory oem Ubolts as well. Super stoked lift is done

5100s are a great ride and great way of lifting your truck. Also no problem with a rear block if you don’t have a need for more load carrying in the back. Other options are mainly for instagram points. No guy with Kings, etc ever takes a photo where the wheel isn’t turned to show off the shocks.

Preloaded stock coils are ok if you don’t have additional weight. I was on stock coils until I added a steel bumper. Now I have 888 coils, and it’s perfect.

Don’t believe the suspension-shamers here. They are mostly trying to justify their own wasted money.

How specifically is the ride better? Do you mean better than stock? Was your spacer/block lift ride exactally like stock?

I like my spacer/block lift. I wouldn’t mind some stiffer springs though.

 

Yes definitely way better than stock. More stiff but in Good way. Also way better than the block lift IMO. I didn’t like the body roll on turns. Alignment was never right. Also going over bumps and what not was worried about shock travel etc.with the spacer lift. I feel much more confident now I have a great lift on truck Wouldn’t change it at all. Fits my needs Perfect.

 

I bit stiffer over stock would be nice. As far as body roll, I’m running sway bars front and rear. Truck corners awesome and much flatter with very little sway.
