FYI: The only dongle files I'm able to download are the SFOB (prem and reg). The BaseOL files return download errors.

I've done the purge and update multiple times.

Alright - flashed sfob reg. Let it idle. I cant do a long drive so I did a short drive around the neighborhood. You can REALLY feel the motor now, its responsive. I want to do some good miles before i go WOT but this is far more drivable than even 1.05 87 fob was

Flashed SFOB Prem. Really like the much stronger idle, I'd missed that when running the 2.0 beta for so long.

Went for a 10mi drive and holy hell this tune is fantastic. Going to be daily-ing this map for sure. My truck has a decent chunk of extra weight on it so I'm sure that those with even more weight and armor and whatnot will really appreciate this map. Downshifting and rev-match is effortless with the very predictable and responsive throttle, no doubt due to the single torque mapping. Excellent engine braking behavior with the tackling of DFCO. Really superb work.

Something I really love is that this map is more reminiscent of 1.05 BFO test in terms of low end grunt. Thanks @OVTune. That was one of my favorite FO maps and so it's super nice to see you recreate some of the benefits of that map here.

I've got to say though, if this is an example of how this truck can perform on a performance map, @OVTune twin turbos must be absolutely nuts. Lol

Woke up this morning like it was Christmas, and get unsuccessful message. I installed the new flash manager yesterday. Today purge local data, update, snagged 04B13 prem SFOB dump tube file. Opened PCM flash utility,Open port 2.0,toyota P5-Can. Hit identify, successful, cleared DTC's successful, selected tune from download location hit write...cheksums successful, battery voltage 12V+ it started the write sequence and got past the identify part successfully and tried to write the first section for about 3 seconds before the unsuccessful message. :annoyed:

@OVTune any idea what I did wrong or what the problem might be?

ETA I also tried using the original method with PCM flash outside of flash manager with the same result.

So some people on this thread have said that no matter whether you run octane learning regular or premium it will learn itself to the optimum values.

Can anyone clarify, on the blog post @OVTune said "Octane Learn Regular. This covers octane ratings from 85 to 89 octane. and Octane Learn Premium. This covers octane ratings from 90 to 94 octane."

"Note** you can technically run 87 or even lower on the premium file. However, you will get continual diminished performance"

I am running 87 octane on the premium file right now, and while it feels awesome and smooth, i want to make sure myself nor anyone else is missing out on the full potential by not running the octane learning file that is closer in values to the fuel they run.

I was checking the other thread and noticed I had the older version of flash manager with the dongle/no dongle drop down. I uninstalled it and downloaded the new version without the drop down and tried to download the file and got a p5f file and no dongle file available WTF???

    just went through all that.

i uninstalled and deleted everything with Revo uninstaller and started from scratch incl Guardant drivers etc.

followed all the directions and i couldn't get 2.0 to show in Flash Mgr... cus i forgot to disable realtime protection. then 2.0 showed. i DL'd but haven't flashed yet.

check that you have reinstalled the dongle drivers.

Gaurdant drivers still shows up in my apps list when I went to uninstall flash manager,I also get the gaurdant dongle discovered message when I plug it in. I even tried the stand alone PCM flash that we used before flash manager was introduced. When you are in the flash identify window it recognizes the dongle and dongle serial number as well..?

@OVTune , do the .pcm files download the same way as .pf5? There appears to be no option to download .pcm files in the latest FM.

Or does FM see the dongle plugged in and only download .pcm?

In the tuning tab within FM, there's an option called dongle legacy software or something like that. Turn that on and then download the maps

I flashed 2.0 SFOB on Friday night and put over 100 mi. on it. I really liked it overall but throttle seemed a bit touchy for my liking, so this morning I flashed 2.0 Base Premium Octane Learning and now my truck drives like a dream! My truck has stock tires, suspension and nearly stock weight, so i suspect guys with bigger tires and/or extra weight will like SFOB.

Didn't see that... Anyway... I reinstalled the old flash manager and downloaded the 04B13 Prem SFOB and just successfully flashed that,it is idling now. I wonder if there is a problem with the dump tube file that I could not flash successfully?
