A little something every chance we get.
Alright, I promised deets after we got the RAV, and a sunny day would have been nice. Most of you know the story. Had the Niro Hybrid, loved it, lease over, dealer got worse and worse in trying to fix the Engine light (know why it didn't work the last time? They ordered two parts, but only installed one!), sales people never excited me into giving them money, so on to Toyota. Hybrid RAV4 had to be new to get the 40 mpg, and the heated and cooled seats that spoiled us in the Niro were a must - driving it to "what the hell, you're only retired once" price, but I don't care. WE LOVE IT. It's quiet, it's tech has tech, has a nice stereo, and stuff we will discover for a month, and 40 MPG. So, here's a quick tour....

    20200305_144548.jpg

Inside is nice leather and "softex" because. Had to have the heated and cooled seats! That pretty much drove me to the top of the option list - period! It's very roomy, and I just realized I didn't get any sunroof pix. It has a sunroof, and a sunWOOF for Rex in the back. Preset 1 is Carol in this ride!
    20200305_144557.jpg
    20200307_114613.jpg

It will live in ECO mode. But, will give Normal and Sport a shot. I suppose she can use Trail on some of the farm driveways she goes to - it is AWD.
    20200307_115627.jpg

OK, LOTS more room than the Niro
    20200307_120932.jpg

I point these wheels out because they look nice, and at 18", they are BIGGER than my Tacoma! But on these big wheels, we have a little more sidewall for cushion than the Niro, part of the nice ride.
    20200307_163837.jpg
    20200307_163845.jpg

I told Carol that even the cameras have cameras. In reverse, you automatically get the rear and the birdseye (which you can make go around!). I am still in awe of how they get these overheads on new cars.
    20200307_173444.jpg

Parking in a lot? How close are you? No worry, cameras pop on and the beep starts too.
    20200307_174128.jpg

Now this is cool - flip what used to be the "night mode" lever on the rear view, and it turns into a panoramic camera IN ADDITION to the rear cam. No more running over annoying shoppers!
    20200307_175619.jpg

Why yes, you can even choose to drive with a cam instead of the mirror. I didn't like it on the frontage road next to the highway, but otherwise, nifty!
    20200307_180046.jpg

Home with big sister, Little Big Red. We think he's the "Shadow" - because the Shadow knows.
    20200307_180624.png

Thanks for checking it out guys!

Agreed, just when it gets to be where the sun is coming up on the drive to work they change the chit. Honestly I don't see why we still have it.

I wish we would stay at this set up year round. I like having the daylight after work.

No need for it anymore. We should be like Arizona & PR and not recognize it.
