You can download maps. All National Forest motor vehicle use road maps are free. The app will track your gps even if you don't have cell service.

 

Keep in mind if it's remotely nice enough for motorcycles/quads/etc it will be a madhouse there. This past weekend the parking lot was completely full and there were vehicles parked all over the place that had hauled in all types of off road vehicles. Still had some fun for an hour or two, just had to pay real close attention to bikes zipping around.

Just got back from the ORV park. First time ever off roading and had a blast. Hardly anyone out there. @smithe68 so you’re telling tomorrow should be a good day since it’s going to rain?

 

I was thinking of going to Couer d'Alene tomorrow after going to 4WP store. Def more enjoyable after a rainfall. I enjoy it.

 

My wife would kill me if I spent any money on the truck (since I just bought it). Looking to see what limitations it has based upon my needs. Is 4WP a decent place for upgrades? Like similarly priced as online retailers? I am looking to learn how to do my own installs in the future so I don't mind heading that way if they are competitively priced.

I've been to cda a good number of times...I enjoy being out there in the forest roads.

Find any good deals @Ornan? I just ordered some skid plates. I know, I know probably overkill for around here, but I'd rather save myself a headache later on.

I just put rci skids on my truck. It's better to have them and not need them kind of thing. If you need help putting them on I'd be happy to help!

 

I only went to get a winc . It was 10% off and came with a free shackle.
Today, I was hoping to install my front bumper but I haven't gotten a solid "I'll be there" answer from those who had said they would help me. If I can't get help I'll postpone the install. It's too much work for one person since the bumper+winch is heavy.
We can always plan a meet. My weekends are always open. And I'm always willing to help with mods.

 

I ordered RCI too. Which ones did you get @zahnebear? I got the front, transmission, t-case and a-arms for now. I plan on eventually getting their gas tank and rear diff skids. I would really appreciate some help, thanks! I have no clue when they will arrive. That gives me some time to buy some tools too. Will a basic Harbor Freight socket set get me by?

@Ornan I'd love to help but can't today. What part of town are you in? My weekends are fairly busy the next few weekends, but if you're close I could spare a few hours.

Super stoked! My skids are going to be here tomorrow. I ordered through TruckBrigade on Saturday. Pretty damn quick. I really might hit up some of you to help me out. I only have a crappy socket set and that's it. Lol.

 

I've got Thursday off and most of the weekend. I got hand tools some battery tools as well

 

I got the IFS, trans, and t case. Yea I just used my socket set for most of it. But I got a pneumatic wrench to speed things up. Should only take a couple hours.

 

Anyone want to hit 7 mile for just a little while? With the snow, there might not be people out there.
