Flashed premium SFOB. All went well. Short drive, feels good.
Not much to report till about 100 miles.

I read that too and switched over to the regular SFOB tune JIC. I haven’t driven it yet, but I’m sure it’ll be fine.

I just got back from a short test of the SFOB and holly shit what a difference. I am going to try and uninstall old FM and reinstall new fm to see if the legacy file works for the dump tubes..Kinda scared if the dump tube file has more go than SFOB...lol

if you click "clear DTC", you have to start the truck, then shut it off, then turn it back on or flash might not work.

Also guys, if you are having issues, Just do these simple steps, nothing else. Don't get all frantic.

    1. Uninstall whatever flash manager you currently have.
    2. install flash manager from this blog https://www.ovtuned.com/blogs/news/flash-manager-1-3-0-released-with-new-logger
    3. Click "help > Update"
    4. Click "install all software"

    there you go

Thanks Mat,all is good in the world now. I flashed the 04b13 SFOB premium tune with the old flash manager with zero problems. Short test drive and the erection still hasn't gone away 1st gear is insane... I downloaded the new flash manager and hit the legacy software and I was able to get the dump tube file and it is flashed successfully and is currently idling. If it has more go than SFOB I am going to get myself in trouble...rpyqxrxKyMXHnavCpZzV.gif

ETA Idle time is up,off to fill up with some fresh 91 e free and see how this thing runs...

Can confirm, 1st gear is nutty. The torque limits are 100% gone, thank fucking god. Throttle input is completely predictable now. Blips for rev matching are excellent and repeatable. Upshifting is also greatly improved. I haven't driven enough (only about 70 miles today) to determine why upshifting has improved, but it definitely has. My right foot needs to re-learn the throttle now. It feels almost twitchy it is so responsive, but it is not a problem with the tune at all. Driving it for so long with the shitty OEM mapping and switching to a throttle that actually works is the issue.

I just flashed from SFOB premium to SFOB regular since i am running 87 octane. Much smoother, less jumpy although the premium wasnt too jumpy and was more torquey. Shifts are 10 time smoother and no more crunchy 2nd gear or jumpy 2nd or first. only have like 11 miles on it so it should get much better

Quick question. Are the SFOB files in FM identical to the ones that you posted here on Friday? I know the Base file had a change or two.

    Thanks!

Matt @OVTune you kind of shot yourself in the foot with these new tunes. Theres so much power available now I really dont think I need to consider forced induction. I was sure I wanted turbos but now after a couple hundred miles of sfob premium I dont think the truck needs much more power. Really makes the truck a blast to drive/merge onto the highway. Even my wife was chuckling when I romped on it in second gear.
Well done sir and worth much more than the price of admission.

Just got back from a 23 mile shake down drive on 04B13 premium SFOB tube file. Stopped and filled up with 91 E free and reset all my trip data. The 10.3 mile trip out of town is 45mph traffic free for the first three miles then 75-80 on the highway netted me 17.8mpg driving normally. Trip back in town and then through stop and go traffic driving with a bit more spirit brought tank average down to 16.5. I also did a couple 0-60 pulls 1st-2nd gear to get a feel for it all I can say is:yay: I think it broke loose a little in 1st right before I shifted as the trac light started blinking at me....:burnrubber:

ETA It also seems to have quieted down the drone at highway speeds or at least changed the pitch so it's not as bad. I suspect the change to full otto and new valve timing has smoothed the exhaust pulses.

My ‘18 TRD Off Rd M/T has been OVTuned for a couple weeks. I put the 2.0 tune on yesterday.

All I can say is it is criminal what they ship from the factory on these trucks!

I recently moved from sea level to 5000 ft and the performance was so fooked that I considered it unsafe!

OVTune has totally changed my truck from a POS I was about to sell to a truck that is fun to drive !

    Thank you OVTune!

Not Milan...or anywhere north. Bracciano just north of Rome, currently. Been traveling all over but avoiding the north like, well, the plague. Still, I'm ready to be home

I spent a few weeks in Naples (eeewww) in the '80s. Spent some time near Vicenza, Sorento and Pompeii for some sightseeing and they were all worth it.

Yeah Naples is grimy. Was there a couple days. Saw Pompeii and went up Vesuvius. Definitely worth it
