I found somewhere on the internet that it was okay. We rolled in at 9pm and there was one other RV in the lot. In the morning we spent a couple of hours looking around the space museum before hitting the road. Total cost $60

I was running a Leer shell( not reinforced) with Thule racks. No problem whatsoever. I ended going to Prinsu style rack just to lower center of gravity.

Up at Peacock Flats in Oahu. Beautiful trail getting there and a great place to adventure with the family!

I’m curious about that yurt style tent. How long does that take to set up/take down?

You rock. The amount of shells I pick up almost daily is tragic.

Thank you. My buddy and I make a game out of picking up shells with our kids and pay them 5 cents per shell. We really don't count them and just give them each a $20 bill. It's a small price to pay to clean up the desert but it helps teach them to be stewards of the outdoors which to me is priceless...

Overdue for upgrade mods with suspension, wheels and tires. ...however, stock suspension, wheels and tires have been good enough for some memorable adventures the past couple years. Might try to get the winterizing products from Tepui to help make the Ayer II more of a four season tent. :D

Leap day weekend. First trip with the tent heater. Good thing I had it too, -4° F Sunday morning would have been pushing it even with my winter bag

Yeah, especially not after this warm weather.
Yup. Im hoping I can make it up there at least one or two more times this year before winter is out. If you have some good winter gear you should join

depending on when and the length of the trip I would be 100% down...ive got gear to camp and stay warm...but vehicle wise I don't have a winch, maxxtrax, or anything of that nature

If I may ask who makes the heater?

Its one of the Chinese knockoffs of the Webasto style diesel heaters. Purchased from Amazon as it seemed less sketchy than some of the eBay ones I saw. Near as I can tell they are probably all made in the same factory, with small cosmetic changes here and there. I ordered a 5kW rated unit.

Have a few bugs to work out including longer and heavier power leads, and a better fuel system that I don't have to purge every single time. But overall it worked well. Ran it at about 1/3 power all night for about 13+ hours. Used 2/3 a gallon and didn't drop my aux battery too bad.
