What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I'm putting them on for the anchor points. I like strapping my rtic to the gate but using the stock anchor points on the bed the strap just falls off after 2 miles. Yep, I can run the strap through the cooler, but not only is that a pain, but there's other things I like strapping in the same spot and cannot.

The beds on these are composite. Over time continued flexing from off roading, carrying an RTT, or shell will over time crack them. Plus the added anchor points are a bonus.

 

Figured I would take advantage of the go pro mount since I had it. Wasn't sure which wiring direction I wanted to go but since I didnt care if it was recording all the time I figured I'd go with the mirror powered option to make it a little more simple. Pretty easy install. Very pleased which I'm sure you are as well.

 

Yeah it is 65 at 4:30pm here in southeastern Illinois. I have looked out the window at my truck sitting in the parking lot a few times today. Have not been outside yet today.

 

Got directly from shapeways. They make a couple of different adapters to match up with the Rexing dash cams. Make sure you get the one for your dash cam. Since I have the V1P 3rd gen, this is the mount I got. Works with 2 different dash cams. Not my truck but I helped my uncle install a Prinsu on his truck and went alittle bit more detailed when it came to the roof rack trim. Kind of wish I did it this way to mine. Used painters tape to transfer the hole alignment to the roof and placed the trim back and marked it in the trim. To make the holes I used a keyhole saw the same size as the spacers, drilled till I hit the metal strip in between and then used side cutters to clip and finished off the hole. It is better to make the hole slightly larger to accomodate for so wiggle room.

 

I really like the raptor lights that @ROBMOTIVE had put in his Pro Grille. Not sure what ones they were but ya could ask him
