What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Debating mounting the spare like this and going with a HC rear without tire carrier. Decisions decisions

 

There was no setting involved, I bought the heavy coils and rear leafs which at this time are 2 3/4" of lift. I did add the 1/4" lean spacer. I don't have very many miles on the test ride today but I'm really enjoying the ride. They aren't as soft as my son's 4Runner with Billies and OME but I wasn't looking for the same ride quality.

 

Took it on a 100 mile round trip to pick up the wifes new hot rod.

 

For what it’s worth, I had a HC with swingout and eventually cut it off because it was too annoying when getting in and out of the bed.

 

Looks great. Oh yeah they don't have notches like the 6112s, my mistake. I like the red coils over the teals too.

 

I like the red but selected it mainly to keep from having red. teal and yellow combination.

Pick up one of these today at the off road expo

 

Clayed the hood and drivers fender. Started from the front and working towards the back. The amount of crap in my paint tells me this is going to be a long ass job.

 

+18mm to -13mm w/ spidertrax and 5/8” spacer is rear to gain a little rake back.

 

Looks Solid!, nice start to a sticker collection you got there.

 

Made little sheet metal brackets that I pop riveted to the grille

 

Watched the wifey wheel Tahuya today, Proud husband right here. Had some “OH F**K” moments but, we escaped with only one itty bitty battle scar.
Saw a bunch of tacobros also. Wonder if any of y’all were out there today.

I put 8 lug nuts for steel wheels in the truck (8 in case I drop 2). The thought finally crossed my mind "If I get a flat, my lug nuts for the alloy wheels may not fit the steel spare."

Is this OCD kicking in???

 

Nope, that's just good sense. My truck came with different lugs for the steel spare...I may need to pick up 2 more though

thats sweet !!! I did mine with a scrap piece of 1/4 alum diamond plate ....like yours much better....

 

Got a few projects finished on the truck this weekend. Switched out my body mounts to the energy suspension ones cause mine were crushed lol. Also got my RCI bed rack mounts mounted my victory bed rack. Mounts are pretty wobbly. Going to gusset them to stop the wobble.
