I’m not planning on accessorizing my truck much. But I’ve been wondering if the TRD exhaust might be worth it for a little more power.
For those that have it is it worth it?

No power and it has a sound that is hit and miss. I find it drones. Watch some youtube videos.

I'd spend the money on something else that you want to do on truck.

But the Toyota website says it will add power.
    Are you saying they’re lying?

Lol. Another “trd exhaust power” post.

it’s literally a brand name accessory and does little to nothing for the Tacoma.
    Zero power
    Zero torque gains
And hardly any noise difference for the price.

do some more research and spend your $ wisely

A $369 noise maker, I have one. I like to rev my engine at the stop light when I'm next to a Raptor:anonymous::D

It will sound s lot better than stock and I don't have any drone. It's worth it in my opinion.

The TRD Pro is factory equipped with the same exhaust that is sold as the TRD exhaust. The TRD Pro has the same rated power as all other trim levels of V6 equipped trucks without the exhaust. So is Toyota lying?

Real question. Maybe I've never noticed. Does toyota actually claim this will increase "power"? Or do they claim this will increase "efficiency"?

Right from the TRD website. The bottom attachment is the Tacoma product brochure that shows the TRD Pro as having the same output dispute having both a TRD exhaust amd a TRD air cleaner.

It probably increases low end torque or hp at an unnoticeable level, so they can advertise it like this. So it makes something like 60hp rather than 57hp at 1800rpm. It makes no practical difference, but the advertisement is technically true. That is the reason why they say “low-end” torque and horsepower.

Doesn't matter to me, not really caring about the H.P. but coupled with the TRD CAI and a Sprint Booster mine is night and day difference. I'm happy, plus it sounds a shit ton better than stock. Got both for $750

The intake isn't giving you more power either.

Let me be a little more specific, it runs and drives a lot better, smoother and more responsive. If you can feel it in the butt Dyno that works for me. By no means an I saying it adds horsepower or not because I have no data to back it up and I never said it did. Unless you have some data and proven test your statement is just a statement and that's all.
