I bought my raptor style LED lights for my Tacoma which came straight outta china and my add a fuse which I know where to plug it in, came with a 5 amp fuse? And only 1 fuse. All the posts and videos I've researched show 2 x 10 amp (red) or 2 x 15 amp (blue) fuses to plug into the add a fuse. Am I missing something here? And can this be installed with just 1 fuse?

The fuses in my 2020 do not fit in the add a fuse. All good I went to a parts store and bought more of the add a fuse fuses. Got it working now!IMG_20200308_164653_741.jpg

When you pull a fuse out, you put that fuse in the lower slot, and the add a fuse in it's place....

Wrong. Like I stated before the fuses you pull from my 2020 sr toyota tacoma in the engine bay fuse box DO NOT fit in these china add a fuse connectors. The prongs on the tacoma fuses are a few millimeters long and will not plug into the add a fuse.

Right...but that doesn't mean it's supposed to come with 2 fuses. It comes with one, the top is the one that fuses whatever you're adding and the bottom is the factory fuse...

I think you mean the bottom slot in the add a fuse, powers the factory fuse slots intended use.

Welcome to the forum from Eastern North Carolina.

The factory fuses on a 3rd gen Tacoma are what are known as LP MIni fuses. Also called Low Profile Mini fuses, or sometimes called Micro fuses. To make life simpler, I suggest buying an Add-a-fuse adapter that uses the low profile LP Mini fuses.

    Something like this:
    https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p...add-a-circuit-10a-card-fhlm0200zpa/11499058-P

Having done that, the lower slot of the adapter is used for your original fuse. The upper slot is used for the "added" fuse.

The adapter ain't like rocket surgery. Look closely at it and it should make sense how it works. o_O

The chinese add a fuse adapter I got with my LEDs does not accept low profile fuses. Its fine a trip to the local parts store solved my issue.

Glad you got it figured out! As you can tell by the answers, the majority of us had no issue with the original fuse fitting into the add-a-fuse slot. Mine lights did come with a 10 amp fuse, not a 5.
