Eibach Pro Lift vs 5100s

So Ive been searching around here, but haven't really found anything to really convince me either way. I know 5100s is loved by TW, but Eibach is starting to get a following as well. I bought my truck used, with a spacer lift, about 2.5-3 up front, and what im assuming is 2 in rear, sits pretty darn level, but knowing its a spacer lift just doesn't sit right with me. So before i go with new wheels, i want to upgrade my suspension. I live in south Texas, so its pretty much street, ranch roads, and beach for me. This is my daily, so comfort is king, want to eventually run 32s (dont want to do any cutting yet), any suggestions would greatly help! Thanks!

 

Can't speak for the 5100s since I've never had them, but my Eibach kit on the first notch rides great. I have medium Dakars in the back.

 

First notch would be how much lift? 2 inches? also, since i got my taco with the spacer lift, i dont even know its its technically stiffer than the stock ride! Ive never driven a complete stock tacoma. so i cant even compare it.

 

Notch #3 for 1", notch #5 for 2" (not recommended)

 

so everyone is in danger zone with 2-3 inch lifts with 5100s? that cant be right can it? I will be swapping spring also, so thats different i guess

 

It is recommended to replace them if you go that high.

 

I don’t think it’s a contest. Imo both kits are great kits very affordable. Either one you choose you won’t be disappointed. I chose 5100’s IMO great ride 4th setting.

what springs did you end up going with, and how did you lift your rear (block,AAL, ect.)? Thanks

 

I’m on oem springs with the 5100’s. Ride is great. Rear Wheelers AAL 1.5”.

 

nice, ive heard keeping oem springs its a rough ride, so most go with OME springs.

 

No ruff ride here IMO. Don’t max out setting to 2”. Also there is a thread a member posted about Bilstien won’t warranty shocks if paired with aftermarket springs. 5100’s are meant to be used with oem coils. I’ll search for thread. Good luck

Wow, ok, great to know, and on that 4th setting, it give how much lift? And would you say it rides close to stock, better, or worse?

 

It will give you 1.5” up front. I also did the driver lean spacer. Ride is stiff but in a good way. Won’t disappoint. AAL 1.5” from wheelers is great as well

 

Supposed to be 2" but on mine was maybe 1.75" for some reason. So I added a top hat spacer to bring it up over 2".

 

Seen some great pics of tacos with the Eibach, and not very many complaints? anyone have any experience? ive heard they ride a little softer on street, but great offroad?

 

I'm running eibach pro springs on 5100s on the second clip. Got about 2.5" of lift. Love the look and ride is good!

Ive been looking at it. Im leaning towards Eibach, im just a picky guy, especially when it involves $$$!
