    Hello TW

I am in Alberta, Canada and I have a brand new 2020 TRD Off Road and will be taking it to Krown to get it sprayed. Anyone else do this and have good/bad reviews or experiences with Krown?

Also, I decided to lease the truck, so just in case I give the truck back at the end of the lease instead of buying it out I am thinking of not allowing them to drill, but only spray where they can without any drilling.

    Thanks.

If you are leasing, you won't have it long enough to worry about rust.

im more likely to buy it out at the end of the lease than simply give it back, so I want to look after it.

I'd say...…….Go talk to the Corrosion Free guy and see what he says. It's my rust proofer/mouse deterrent/cable lubrication/spring lubrication.....

Mice will not eat it....it's good for rubber...etc.!! No drips. keeps working in the doors and tail gate....It moves and shoves out water.

I've used it for 25 yrs or more.:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

It costs, but price stays the same each 1 1/2 yrs till you sell.

If you're leasing, dont do it imo. Especially since they drill holes, can you do that on a leased vehicle?

if I do it, I will simply tell them NO Drilling, only spray the underneath & areas you can without drilling.

Krown is great but only if you keep the vehicle for a while and do it every year.

    Stay away from Ziebart

I think I threw up in my mouth watching this. What a bunch of nostalgic bullshit. A Ziebart application will almost guarantee there is no vehicle to pass down through the generations once the rust gets under that rubber crap.

The 4th Gen. Tacoma should be out 3-years from now. I highly doubt you’ll buy out your Tacoma after you see it.

    Krown is probably just fine.

I still like Fluid Film, as Krown is a petroleum based product. I dont feel as comfortable with it when it comes to all the rubber and whatnot under the truck.

Im in SK and i got it undercoated with Krown a week aftee i got my '19. The last 2 vehicles i had i got all of them undercoated with Krown and there were barely any rust underneath. Last July i sold 1 of my cars, guy took it to a dealership where he worked and lifted it. The coating was still prettt good when he checked.

The place i got my truck coated has a lifetime warranty and free to get checked up and re-coated when needed to, they said. So ill get it done before winter every year if i want

Edit. I also have it leased. When i was researching about the Taco i read about the frame issues it was having. So if it does get all rusty, imma throw it back at them. I also plan buying it out after a couple yrs

    Wrong..!!!

They MUST drill holes to get everywhere. Holes are small and then plugged real nice. They get INSIDE all crevices rocker panels, doors, etc, etc...

I felt like I got complete coverage using the existing holes in the rockers. Some of them may have been small enough to require the mini 360 extension that fits on a spray can.

I'm not sure that I would spray blindly into the doors as I believe that the back of the door speakers are exposed. I removed the interior door panels to spray inside them.
