I had the Keltech, Trigger was God awful. A PCC I can't shoot fast is no fun. Sold it.

The Highpoint, I've shoot. They're no fun either. Mag capacity blows and it slaps/pinches your shoulder with each shot. Very weird.

The Scorpion gets good reviews, haven't played with one though

Bought the wife a Grand Power Strebog. It's really nice and shoots well. Trigger is great straight out of the box. Fun little gun.

I'd buy the Ruger for myself since it takes Glock mags, or build a 9mm AR.

Yeah the mag capacity on the Hipoint is what's holding me back. As far as the stock goes, a lot of people remove the springs in the stock for that reason. And there are some really cool stocks for it. But by the time you buy the gun and stock, you're right at the price of a Scorpion. So that makes no sense.

I've got a built lower w/o the stock I've been contemplating turning into an AR9.

Maybe it doesn't look as fancy as some others because it's got the classic A2 stock. :D

Lol yeah looks don't really matter to me as long as the gun works . I'll have to think on that price . Not sure I can swing that much

Better not have that attitude in CWP class. You'll get denied.

Yeah I get it. It's more because AR10 instead of AR15. Plus it's Aero Precision with a Black Hole Weaponry barrel. Not high end but not low end basic either.

Always stick with 5.56/.223 for your first/only AR. If you're gonna buy a second then you can branch out into other calibers.

IMO every American of fighting age should have an Ar-15 in 5.56 and a 9mm Glock. Just as the standards in their respective categories. After that, get one of everything if you want, but those should be the staples. Not arguing that they're the best, just that they are a long time industry standard with lots of parts availability and interchangeability.

I've been looking at building a 9mm AR (already built a 5.56). Primarily looking at Primary Arms and PSA stuff ($100 gift card!).. but are there any other notable places to check out?

I've had good luck using Mas Defense products. Primary Arms is good too.
