Surprisingly doesnt look too bad. Probably just blow it out with some compressed air.

My air filter was also in decent shape, and I blew it out with some compressed air and stuck it back in.

My cabin filter on the other hand. Phew. That needs to be replaced asap.

Also did a full detail on the truck. Back to nice and shiny.

Also it was brought up in the other thread, but who's going to the expo this year? And is anyone interested in camping and hitting some dirt roads on the way??

Did you mean to put this in the BS thread? Either way, I "self-quarantined" this weekend...and it was glorious! Also its looking like I cant go back to work tomorrow so I might be quarantined for quite a while. You probably have quite the mess on your hands at the VA. Stay healthy.

I just saw that on the news. We have a phone call at 9am tomorrow to discuss how we're moving forward. Im pretty sure we're going to be told we can't go into any facilities. Mayo cancelled all surgery for people over the age of 60. Quite a few states have banned sales reps from hospitals and I feel like its a matter of hours before every state makes that same decision. Luckily I negotiated a pretty high base salary, a lot of my coworkers are 100% commission or nearly 100%. Should be interesting to see how this plays out.

Very interested in your all’s thoughts on this craziness. I love a good drama and this is definitely dramatic. Is the news overhyping this as usual or should we all crawl in a hole somewhere?

My opinion, its kind of a big deal. The problem is that most people don't show symptoms for a number of days, sometimes 5+. This makes it extremely contagious. The virus supposedly can live on all different types of surfaces for extended periods of time, multiple days. This also makes it extremely contagious. Were not exactly sure how its transmitted; air, fluids, feces have all shown positive test results. This also, also makes it extremely contagious. You have young people thinking they are healthy and not positive with the virus because they don't show symptoms, going about their daily lives, contaminating everything they touch. Stubborn m-fers going out partying for St Patties day is worst case scenario because they are going to have dinner with mom and dad and grandma on Tuesday and fuck up everyones world. But they didnt "get sick" so it wasnt them.

edit: Have you ever seen this amount of bipartisanship when it comes to the government, private entities and people of all race, color, creed, religion agreeing that maybe it makes sense to just work from home and stay away from people for a while? The answer is no. Have you ever seen businesses completely halt operations to the tune of losing billions of dollars of profit in a matter of days/weeks over something dramatic or trivial? The answer is hell fucking no. If you can be certain of one thing in America, nothing is more important than profit. When you see extremely profitable companies shuttering business you can be damn sure something is legitimately wrong.

Truth right there. And its hitting all kinds of people not just immune compromised.
Countrys are on qurotine, just saying something to think about.
I wish I had bought more tp.

On a high note some business are doing good. Srp or aps isnt shutting people power off for late payment and is turning people's power back on that was turned off.

The big issue is that people can spread it for days without any symptoms at all. Thus it’s expected that about half the United States will get it at some point.

If half the US gets it in a matter of 6 months then it’ll overwhelm our hospitals and cause lots of trouble.

But if we can “flatten the curve” and it spreads slowly over the course of say 2 years, then things will be much better. We can only do that if people stay at home (or take Overlanding adventures in the desert). Also might give us time to develop a vaccine or treatment. Also help get us some time to get tests readily available; it’s disgusting honestly that we don’t have the testing we need readily available.

We could not agree more Mike.

I don't have much more to say, as I posted what I knew last Friday in the AZBS thread, and avoided any additional research/investigation over the weekend. However, I am back at the computer now, all day, and if anyone wants to chat about it, it would be a good way to pass some time, as I can't help but engross myself in the information presented from sources I deem credible. (Mostly CIDRAP)

As a brief note, from someone who likes numbers, as to the seriousness of the disease, especially for those who may want to continue comparing it to the flu (with an average death rate of just .1% per year), the following numbers from various ministries of health were shared just yesterday.

Italy: 24,747 confirmed cases with 1,809 deaths. That is a death rate of 7.319%

Spain: 7,753 confirmed cases with 213 deaths. This is a death rate of 2.747%

France: 5,400 confirmed cases with 120 deaths. This is a death rate of 2.222%

UK: 1,372 confirmed cases with 35 deaths. This is a death rate of 2.551%

Iran: 13,938 confirmed cases with 724 deaths. This is a death rate of 5.194%

This is an average death rate of 4.0066% thus far.

    Resource:

    http://www.cidrap.umn.edu/news-pers...mic-response-steps-europe-covid-19-cases-soar

Edit: I suppose I should clarify a bit. If you simply get the disease you do not have a 4% chance of dying, but if you get the disease, and suffer from it to the degree that you need to seek medical attention (which is another crucial difference between Covid-19 and the yearly flu), then you are in much bigger trouble.

Man I wish I still was in AZ to join you guys! Sounds awesome. My daughter and I are self quarantined at the family farm outside of Waco so we are secluded AF. Just us on 100 acres, 50 head of cattle, 3 ducks, 5 chickens, and 2 dogs. Not too shabby but would be a lot cooler if I had some trails here on the property. Hope everyone is safe

Keep fighting the good fight Danny. Im sure you are working mad hours, sleeping at the hospital etc. or you will be soon when this turns into all-hands-on-deck. If you need anything, just ask.

Not that anyone reeaallyyy cares but I figured out why my CB was messed up. Its the hand piece. Funny thing is, if I hold it two feet away from my face, you can hear me loud and clear. Its when I hold it right up to my mouth that it gets all jumbled.
